Haha his bike went great eventually but he did try and put it out of its misery later in the day. More to come in sunday’s ride report
Good one mate keep on keeping it real
Ah thanks for that transit! I’ll have to take a look and see what I prefer between the sherco and husky. In fact I should really start my own thread for this hey
Sorry Robo!
Seeing as you usually only hear the worst stories I think it’d be a tad harsh to base judgement solely on this though it’d be something to strongly consider.
That’s a chunk of change hey! The 09s seem to be priced quite competitively at the moment but then that seems like the run-out price. I just shot robo 99 questions – with any luck he can’t sleep either
Did you ever enquire about the R models Mal or are they new? I imagine they’d be pretty $$$ with the ohlins otherwise they wouldn’t have the base model.
I haven’t given the 310 much of a chance because I had a recollection that they’re a sleeved down 450 which I wasn’t keen on and I might have also read that husky’s 4t wasn’t as good as their 2t. I do like the look of the husky though.
So you live in lithgow and get your bike worked on in picton?!
Not that I’ve read around much but I’ve never heard a bad word about the new shercos and there’s a lot of praise out there for them and I’m tempted to try something a little different. Tried to find a beta dealer in NSW with no luck also.
FWOAR!!! http://www.motocrossitalia.it/e107_images/Mx_Nation/Sherco.pdf
3.0 sounds nice – 2.5 engine with a larger bore and due along with the 2010 release which is when???
Just peaked at the sherco site and there’s a banner showing a 3.0 enduro but nothing else once you click, what a tease!
Well spotted there Mal, my parents are in camden and I’m due to drop in on sunday so I might see if I can organise a run for the saturday. I notice that the trials version has a 2.9 I wonder if they do a bore kit for the enduro model.
Hey robo, I’m just looking around to see who sells these things – any hints? I spotted a vic seller on bikesales but I’m kind of hoping there’s a dealer up this way.
OUCH! Loose link mentioned he was waiting for some bits (speedo?) for his husky. As long as it doesn’t stop you enjoying it I suppose!
Hmmm see with the leatt you can’t duck too well and I reckon it would’ve been ripped off several times yesterday ducking through the tight stuff all day. I’m even accustomed to getting off the bike to duck under low fallen trees!
I here wikdbeemer is having some issues with warranty at the moment too. My opinion may be skewed by past experiences but generally warranty issues are a pita regardless of the party supplying the warranty.
Did Mal have the opportunity to cover it up front then argue down the line or would that have led to a case of “you paid ergo you admit fault/responsibility”
I’ve had about 5 rides with mine and the second of those I wasn’t comfortable because I didn’t get it set right before starting. I’ve since cut into my alpine star suit a little more and I unstitched my jersey at the neck so I can pull it down over the brace. I’ve also bought a bit of velcro so the jersey is a bit neater but it works great.
As the others have said, after a bit of riding you forget its there but try and remember if you need to duck under a branch.
I bought mine from the states because the savings were too great to ignore. If you’d like some help with that let me know because the aussie dollar would mean a club leatt could be landed for about $500 I’d guess.
