Thanks guys I was still interested it it was in fact possibly fuel. I’ll be strict about placing a rag under the airbox wash cover in future.
Can anyone confirm how you test you’re getting spark at the lead? I think I’ve asked before but is it just a case of sticking a screw driver in against the point and holding the steel shaft and feel for a jolt?
Yeah I’m sure if I had a problem with water the oil in the sight glass would tell the story. I might put a little oil and petrol together in a jar and see if it also has the same effect.
I cleaned the airbox out (clean and dirty side) then took the carby, vent hose and valve cover off and gave them all a good flush out including removing the float bowl. I’ve put it all back together but the battery was flat and I’m too buggered to kick it so I’ve put the C-tek on it and will give it a go tomorrow with a catch can and then report back.
The vent hose had some white-ish oil in it – would you guys agree that’s just from the petrol mixing with the oil? I haven’t dumped my oil but took a look at the sight glass and it looks good.
Cheers,
Trent
I don’t have one but have looked and it seems that the general consensus is the 60cx or 60csx are most popular with the latter having the added altimeter and compass for a few bob more.
Ram mounts are supposed to also be the only way to go if you want to mount it on the bike.
WOAH!!! I learn how to do new things on my bike all the time – this is just a reminder to make sure you think of the different consequences!
All the best for a speedy recovery smurph – hate to hear this happening to anyone let alone a bull!
I love the snout look on the front guard but I can’t tell if its because its different that I like it or just the sharpness of it.
September 24, 2009 at 10:14 pm in reply to: New model Podmx K700 due in stores on monday 10th #154080Yeah I did but their sizing tool is inaccurate and I’ve heard about 3-4 accounts of the same. I was told I’d be a small but they didn’t have any to try on so I bought them o/s and found that they fit without the hinge pads but they’re too tight with them in and they’ve said they’re necessary so I’m going to see if I can exchange them locally and if not I’ll offload these and buy another pair.
So far – they feel great, nice and light and slim and they feel very secure. I think you have to be a tad slow with the strap system because when you pull it through the loops it can pull your leg skin in and pinch it and that’s coming from a guy with chicken legs.
If I can exchange them locally I’ll be riding with them over the long weekend so can finish the review then.
All the best ECKS, I’d like to suggest Katie-Marie so you can call her KTM for short what do you think mate?!
The poor old neglegted magna looks no different – actually maybe the increase in thickness of shit hides the bumps and grazes a lil better

Early present for your bike
I’ve been a slack arse last week and went to sydney for a bucks party for the weekend so haven’t done it yet. I did get my Ps though!
