I had a short blat on the honda yesterday and it felt nice. Certainly a different power delivery to the KTM but the ergos felt pretty similar I think.

Well after AB had come down on the climb he pointed out to me that he had snapped a bit off his gear lever and coudn’t change gears any more :( .So we stopped and checked out what we could do about it.In my tool roll I always keep a selection of nuts/bolts/washers so after a bit of a think about it we came up with this fix.

I just grabbed the parts manual and looked up the shift lever and they want $101 for an OEM! Good news is you can get the step plate seperately for just $50

Luckily Ballards have billet levers for $40 :)

I’m busy again until the 10th of july but will be keen then. Kitchener is definitely a good alternative and as Pete and I were saying yesterday if the watties are flogged out after this weekend it’d be good to have something else to ride that’s nearby. Moto I can squeeze two on the ute and I have a towbar if you have a trailer and want to work out a car pool somehow.

Hey nice vid! what a fun day! I was a bit sloppy on that second run but its great to watch and pick up tips like I need to get my leg up and further forward :)

What Pete unfortunately missed was how I ended up having the lay down. After the two cool wheelies I tried to stop by grabbing the fronts but it was so greasy I just slid back down backwards and hit the deck laughing my arse off :D

It was a great ride – I’m a bit dusty after a big night but I’ll try and put some words together :p

Pete’s machine looked like it just came out of the crate at the start of the day but it looked much better by the end of the day especially since most of the pink had been covered in mud :D

Kitchener had some excellent riding with a good mix of clay and sand, tight and open and even a few hills – one of which got the better of me and my gear lever as Pete showed in the pic. Big thanks to Pete for having just the right nut and bolt to fix it up without much fuss.

Following Pete was funny, I kept trying to be fast and wasn’t and pete just kept ggod pace but was cruising through.

Why don’t you do Sugarloaf to the Gap servo then onto the bottom of the Watties/Cooranbong ride?

Same as Murph done last Sunday – It will be very wet and slippery though.

    Just a thought:huh:

Sounds good I’ll have to research it a bit to even have a clue where you’re talking about. If the other week is anything to go by it might be a dead rubber but I’m silly enough and p-nut has a new bike so he can pretend he is too :silly: It had hardly rained last ride and it was still very very squirmy in parts.

Hey p-nut, this is where I set out from last week.

Mt Sugarloaf – Buttai Barn Entry

From Sydney, follow F3 to the end and turn left @ Roundabout into John Renshaw,

follow for approx. 7ks and turn into Lings Rd,

follow for approx. 1.7k’s, past the Fire Station (Veer to the left) and Buttai Barn,

just after Buttai Barn is a clearing on the the right hand side park here.
