haha that’s cos I’m silly enough
Yeah I figured as much. I remember reading of a bloke with a 250excf that cooked it on the sand and figured it’d need that extra torque to be at home.
Where’s wikdbeemer he knows sugarloaf!
Haha yeah I spotted that when I went to perv on your new lady! Congrats mate, Ben’s CRF450x is a weapon of a thing on the throttle and scares the poop outta me.
If you just want to get it dirty we can take a look around sugarloaf. I went for a little squirt up there the other week and it wasn’t a worry finding your way around some nice open stuff. Mate I’ve ridden wattagans about 5 times and led/did my best on two of those but I don’t think I’m knowledgeable enough to be leading safely.
Sure!
Mate I’m keen to ride anything but how do you think a 250 4t would go up there? I don’t want to play into your cynical little hands
but I kind of thought that the 250 would get worked a bit too hard running through the sand without a paddle.
I’m probably taking this off topic a bit but if you click on http://ballards.cc/catalogue-2009 and go to page 31 and the tools start from there.
I got home and my bits were there already after only ordering at 3pm yesterday and the invoice is spot on so I’m pretty stoked. I’ll fit the brake pads tomorrow and as long as they fit then I’m laughin I reckon.
I hired an auto tiida a couple of months ago and it was a good car even if it did look like a pope mobile!

Loads of like minded bike fanatics & the odd Kato lunatic on here:laugh: Watch out for Moto & Menace especially, they are the worst culprits:PBeing from Maitland, you will have quite a few rides in the area for you to hook up on, DanD has one on this weekend in the Wattos actually,,,,,
Enjoy
Is that posted? I couldn’t see it after a quick look.
edit: just found it in the RDO adventure thread. I’m doing a poor job of drumming up some interest for a saturday ride if you’re interested S&S.
G’day slow, I’m living in east maitland for now so not far away at all. I’m chasing a ride this weekend but if you keep an eye on the ride gatherings forum you’ll find that the group is pretty active up with plenty of rides up this way.

I got their spark plug spanner ($15 for the bendy one) a set of tyre levers ($32) and two sets of rear brake pads (braking branded) ($47.50/set). You can search on DBW and find that they’re apparently not extremely reliable but for what I was after it was easier than knocking off early and driving for an extra hour to get to the shop.

Quote:Thanks Murph, I have the height adjusting tool already, and will make up a fork seal driver tomorrow.cheers Ollie
Are these tools absolutely necessary to replace your fork seals? I had my forks rebuilt and they were pissing out after one ride so I was going to redo the seals myself but don’t have the tools.
I assume you’re talking about the levers moto?
I just bought a set of ultimate levers from ballards $32/pair and they have wrench cut outs on them.
Good write up Ollie it sounds like you guys had a lot of fun!
I gotta get out with you guys a bit more and learn all these good tracks so I can lead a decent ride!
What a classic
Here I was wondering how you got going again so easily!
How do you guys do the fuel transfer? Short length of hose and suck and spit to get it flowing?
I just read this back and noticed that I used the word keen 4 times, I need to work on my subliminal messaging me thinks!
