I’ve said this before, if she was my boss I wouldn’t need a bike to ride!
And probably couldn’t afford one!
No matter what I use I’d rather let it cure and unfortunately I have to go out to dinner tonight to keep the boss happy enough to let me ride so it wont happen tonight. Funny thing was for the last couple of nights I’ve asked my in-laws if any parcels have come and they said no so I’d even gone back to the bloke on ebay to check he sent them then when I went out into the shed and saw them sitting on my bike I just had to shake my head :pinch:
How good is this place!? I found the thread and will pick up some leccy tape and if I get home in time tomorrow night I might do it but I don’t want to chance not having them spot on for saturday.
Cheers (and karma) for the tip ollie and cheers to ECKS for posting it earlier he’ll get some karma too!
Haha yeah I almost started a thread about it but you’d all think I was a nutter! I finally got it back after a month of getting stuffed around!
Cheers Ollie, I’ll have a search now.
Woah 150 posts already?!
P-dub I don’t want to take any business away from the sponsors but racers edge do a good deal on DID x rings and sprockets. I paid $200 for an 512(I think) x ring, hardened front and regular rear sprocket delivered.
I’ve got my camera in order this time and I’ve just reattached my barkbusters after I lost the expanding/dynabolt part last ride.
Unfortunately my father in law stashed my new grips out in the shed and I’ve only just spotted them and don’t have grip glue or wire so I wont get to put them on.
Got nice and pumped sticking my head in the shed to see my bike though!
That’s a shame p-nut!
Mick best of luck mate, the more the merrier I reckon!
If anyone is nervous about meeting I’ll be in a silver triton and meeting at the service station just off the freeway at 830. To get there from the freeway take the mandalong road exit and head east and you’ll come to a roundabout. Turn right and you’ll see a caltex straight away.
If not see you at the oval at 9!
p.s I’ve been chipped about using the internet at work so I won’t be checking on here too much tomorrow so if you request my mobile number via PM make sure you send yours too and I’ll just text or call you to give you my number.
My weekend just got flipped so I think I’ll just be riding locally on the saturday. Sorry guys I was looking forward to the big bash!
hmmm is there another vic high country thread? I’m keen to get high either way so I might put my mitt in here! Am I reading wrong or will you need ~140km range on your tank?

We could also meet at the firestation on the corner at Cooranbong and all go in together if it’s easier for anyone.
Well done mate you’re right.
I’ll probably meet my brother at the caltex just off the mandalong road freeway exit on the eastern side of the freeway about 830 to get fuel and some tucker

Quote:9 start is fine with me. The oval appears to be just past the turn off to martinsville hill road on the righthaha just to be clear, do you mean head west along martinsville road and its on the right just past the turn off?

Ah I thought so! The first time I went up the pines with a mate it said turn right at the phone booth and luckily we relied on the signs that said watagan forest etc. and took that turn.
So I’m guessing the phone booth used to be near that turn?
Sorry 383 I missed you didn’t I!

Jeffro (possibly)Wikd, I’ve watched for the phone booth a couple of times and not seen it, where is it from the turn onto martinsville hill road that you’d take to go to the pines?
Are you guys happy with 9am start?
I had a fairly interesting experience putting my new chain on when I learnt how to fiddle with the buggers a bit. Just make sure that the bushing is sitting nice and evenly spaced before you put the joining link on or it’ll be very hard if at all possible to get the clip on and it’ll jam the o ring and reduce freedom of movement.
I use vice grips and a tent peg placed between the bushings to make sure I squeeze the backing plate past them.
Chain breakers are definitely a great advantage.
