Exposing my wet ears here but can anyone explain the difference between linkage and PDS or point me to an article about it?
Yeah i thought that’d be the case – I certainly didn’t want to talk up any expectations but didn’t want to scare you away from the good stuff either. Just make sure you don’t pick any hills too big for you to carry a 250 up hey 😆
I’d like to say that I’m 3 but I haven’t been on many group rides so I’m not too sure to be honest. Same goes for my mate but we’re both young and silly enough to give it all a try. We rode the st across from the pines camping area the other week and had a couple of relaxing snoozes in the sand but nothing presented too much of an issue. Bike fitness needs some work though
edit: probably 3-4 going by this:
3) Middle of the road – I’ve seen most of the types of obstacles riding has to offer and a good idea of how to handle them, the odd push and helping hand wouldn’t hurt. No crazy hills yet though!
4) SEASONED RIDER – You’ve been around a while havent you!. Been on some group rides, happy to sweep, could get up the front. Even have a crack or two at those bigger hills. Can handle most things but not always flat out.
Wouldn’t call myself seasoned by any means but will have a crack at the bigger hills – you have to learn your capabilities somehow right? :woohoo:
Cue the duelling banjos
Mate we’re starting at 930 that leaves plenty of time for the dawn service and a few rounds of rum and milk for brekky then when we’re finished we’ll come play 2 up and take you drunk blokes’ money!
Thanks for that Ollie.
And yeah call me Trent Austblue is just a silly bloody user name I’ve had for 10 years.Hey moto make that Austblue + 1 and if you don’t mind Ollie we’ll both have some snags
I’m pretty sure someone from DBW linked me over here when I was looking for some riding buddies. Just had a quick search to see who it was but couldn’t find it :silly: It would’ve been there or trailmates I’d say.

PS welcome to OBT, how about an intro?
Ollie
Cheers for that. We rode from the pines camp ground last time so it should be nice and easy to find.
Funny I thought I’d posted here before but I guess I’d only lurked! I’ll have to make my way to the intro forum
Hey guys, a mate and I were going to head out early saturday so if you don’t mind we might meet up with you at 930. Could someone explain the meeting point please?
