On a more serious note I read of someone having some severe health problems caused by gatorade and alcohol.

Ah ok… see I figure someone getting shot is always a result of “some form of mucking around with guns” so I was doubting what I understood to be correct as that was said to be rumour.

I’ve read and re-read the last couple of posts and I have to say it’s not clear what is and isn’t rumour and it’d help to know the source of any information that’s said to be true and confirmed. Just sayin.

Is God’s Gift still the biggest HP? I used to race as a young(er) fella and knew Ken Broughton who owned Mirage. I did race behind a TT boat once but the craziest fast races I did were behind a bullet with a 2.5hp and race prop at toukley, region 5 races which was a 15km sprint circuit. Zone 3 was pretty fast for me too, we raced behind my mates 3.8L V8 outboard and it had no worries pulling us 2 up over 80mph on a standard prop.

I think the superclass skiers average about 120mph don’t they?

Not a good weekend for dirt bike riders. There was the bloke that died on the beach and a fella on ADV that broke both legs above the knees that I know of.

I was recommended a motobatt but only had it for a few months so can’t say how good it was. About $80 IIRC.

I hadn’t realised that they were dual layered lenses until we pulled them and that’s when I realised they’d gotten water between the lenses causing the problem I had. I was a bit concerned that they’d failed so easily because I thought I was quite gentle with mine but my lesson is to only wash the outside and very gently and just use a dry cloth on the inside.

The shop is going to have a word with the progrip rep and see what they think about what caused the problem. I was quite disappointed that they were stuffed after only a couple of rides but to be fair I can’t say it wasn’t my fault because I’ve never been shown what not to do with goggles.

They’re def a good bit of kit though and $30 for the lenses.
