Seems like it’s a discussion raging across the internet. Lot’s of theories. There would be many that don’t care of course, likening the kick starter to the crank early cars used to have. “What?! A car without a crank for a backup? What would the Vicar say seeing us have to push start the Ford darling”

I’ve held my kick starter recently – it aint heavy….

I’d say it’s an “Apple” thing. Kickers are old school. Left overs from a bygone era.

The plug in is not supported here, so there is no youtube symbol/icon anything ya IT genius! I have to look at the html code showing the reference to youtube to get the id reference XjGkjAcsvZU.

$250 a pair is not too bad really, fairly typical for top shelf brand.
I’ve still got the Pirelli Scorp on the rear, done so for the last 3 sets.
I’ll give them a go next, which looks to be sooner than later with all this rain…

So apart from the sales jargon, good for front/rear both? Winter/Summer both? Cheap/Dear?

Would have been good without the dust for sure.
Overtook you on your way home. Bikes, white flash Patrol, must be Alan I says to the wife. Has to be, trailer lights don’t work and he can’t be stuffed fixing em.

I had a 2000 EXC. It’s motor was a cracker. I’ve had some huge get offs on it. Some real high speed near misses with the headshake too.
No big deal about the travel as long as the ride height for the front is the same, otherwise you will have even worse headshake and tuck under. I think they were 43mm forks but couldn’t be sure anymore.
Dinner plate for a disk rotor – sure why not! :D
Steering dampner, I forgot that too. Don’t forget the steering dampner! I rode a mates ’02 300 last year he has had for years, but now with a new KTM dampner – wow. Best money spent on “that” bike by a country mile. Great confidence booster. Wish I had one on my ’00 model back then.

Clear tank, grey fender = 2001. Some nice additions on it already. My recommendations would be get rid of the tail light assembly (It’s been mostly sawn off) and find a generic LED unit. The boomerang muffler has been sawn off too which was the go back then. Take a close look at the sub frame they start to crack about … 10 years ago. Make up some ally reinforcement and have it TIGd back up. Check reeds and cage. The forks in that era and steering geometry was fairly dangerous so if they are stock and scary save up for an overhaul by a shop that knows the tricks for that fork. Those models were function over form which I like. Simple, cheap and reliable motoring. Have fun.

There are some Beta blokes on here Sneaky but it’s been quiet. I only have a mate that has one of these 300rr ones, and not latest model so can’t help you there. I saw the latest Husky 2 strokes the other day. All the benefits of the orange brigade but different colour!

Why don’t you pick something like GaleySC or Grade4Galey so you don’t have to do this everytime you change your ride? :)

How about a link? Plugin not supported. In fact Flash should be scorched from the Earth for ever.
