Bloody hell Al, are you there already? I’ve been out all day.
Sounds good lads. Lets regroup a few weeks before [the next years event] then so I can apply for some time off. (and grow a rats tail, and a goatee, and a beer gut)

Tech talk interests me. Its great to see you chime in TB. Its interesting to read Of experiences in other areas of expertise. Your right i think about changing oils late in an engines life. A mate of mine bought a second hand car and after some time decided to run fully synthetic. Bad idea. Similar outcome to your example – cleaned it and killed it. On a trivial note some euro manual car gearboxes have a small wet clutch for reverse. Rexomended oil was Castrol Edge 10w-60.
I missed watching it thus year. Others look at me funny when I tell them I have never watched it in person but I don’t think I could handle the ford Holden crowd. I’ve been there for the other races held at Easter and drive around it when going through.
When? Last night or next week? I’ll go I haven’t been to an sx for years.
Spot on from the others. I would use what you purchased without a second thought. Different bikes like different viscosity. I stick to motorcycle oils.
Pyramid Parts? Notorious for selling cheap rubbish. Hopefully you have more luck than some. I run full length neoprene socks on my USD forks. Have done so for my last 2 Katos. They are stitched down the full length. They do gather dust under them inevitably but I regularly squirt the garden hose up from the bottom to flush. Chrome finish on fork sliders is pretty tuff stuff. The fork socks definitely keep the seals cleaner so less chance of oil leaks. Note I am not talking about the short neoprene stubbie holder ones – they are no good. They are only good to collect crud under them.

I run water in my pack and carry Powerade in zip bags and eat it like Wizz Fizz at each stop. Easier to keep the water bag free from mould and also I get more of a “hit” when requiredJunkie
Just came back from a ride and I have one of those little nicks up under my nose 👿 , even with the nose guard.
That’s the spirit!
Nice conversion that. No expert here but cutting the fork springs down – would that drop the front end sufficiently? Will the shiny alloy bits be converted to black or blue too?
Good one Moto. Luckily I had back up in my absence.

Plenty of places to ride for a DR650 out them neck of the woods.
Sounds like fun. Might head up there next time with you for a day trip maybe or overnighter.
Yep that’s the one Moto. They have a bit of a following with the slightly looney. Short of a Maico monster this unit is second to none for vibration and fear factor. However I do remember the power spread was more forgiving than say a KX/CR, just more of it. If only the rest of the bike could handle the motor.
You could park your son’s 85 inside that piston TB.
