A mate of mine has an aftermarket tank that sits in place of the headlight. Holds about 2-3L. A hose runs from it to your fuel cap breather. As you ride it syphons in to your tank and your steering starts to work again haha. Im talking 80s tech here.

I should really stay out if these discussions :)
I have ridden a few of each. Not ’12 models.
The Assgasses i rode were very precise. 2 strokes in the raw. At the motocrosser end of the scale. Not quite as tunable as the husabooger power wise. The starter motor probably works alot better than ktms efforts.
Theres no doubt one with little knowledge can get a berg running more like a 4 banger or a motocrosser cracker. As for parts the berg has the whole of USA available to choose from. GG not so. Resale should favour the berg as always.
Pick which one looks sexier or is cheapest. ;)

Thats the mystery part of the tour see. Bobs ride is like a rave party. No one knows where it starts until the last minute.

Lantana will catch you if you try.

Cheers Mick, hehe yeah maybe. Notorious we are for using “peripheral vision” I call it.

Lantana, yes I’ve had my run in with it in the past. My neck is sore thinking about it. I’ll get there this year I hope, will take some days off and drag up a mate or 2.

Yep I’ve seen the allu bottles like the above before used. Last year’s birthday ride had fuel bladders auctioned off. I think Mal5.1r2b3 got one. He might have some more info.

Chris you need to ride one. I wont say their shit, just not for everyone.
Boony sure you have one and love it yes nice. Ride it back to back with the other choices and lets go from there.
They are good at what they are designed for and I think there is nobody on this site that I know can ride them properly, even me. Moral of the story is test ride them before deciding.
And no im not test riding snowys woody damn it :)

Back at work already gee. Your still on the crutches I hear.
Don’t get a blue and yellow one Bob. Couldn’t bear the crap how it’s better than the orange ones…
Stick to the boring blue bikes. You know the ones that look the same since 1998.
Mendos got only Bergs there? I haven’t been there in months.

Now slow down there Chris I’ve owned a Kato 250 and it’s no bike for an “old” bull. You old blokes like bikes with bottom end and these don’t fit the bill. ;) :D Refer to my previous post. Sure test ride all you like. My first ride of my 250 was one of very few moments in my life I said to myself “Axel WTF have you done?”.
DRZ -> 250-exf will be even worse. You ride it like a 125. A WR250 is a much nicer motor for trailriding. Don’t get me wrong my last 3 bikes were Katos. Trust me.
