    Dude is making sense here.
These 300s just work now days. Mucking around to solve a fouling issue is rare.
Fouling is most likely due to bad fuel, too much 2T oil and bad plugs.
2014/2015 jetting is not necessarily suited to 2003-2013 (or whenever the 36mm carb came in).
Always aim for 1.5 turns out on the pilot. Anything more than 1 turn either way and jet change 35/38/40.
Dude’s needle is a good choice – I run it too now on #3.
    I used to run (and Rocket runs now I think): 35 pilot, 165 main, N3CJ #3 . (2008 300EXC)
    Now I run: 38 pilot, 165 main, NECJ #3.
BR7ES is for Europe and cold climates. BR8ES or BR8ECM is what you probably should run – shiney new one. If your running a 7 to fix a fouling issue, I think you’re masking the issue.
Just about everyone I know run 50:1 fully synthetic. 40:1 if you like wasting money and like buying oil more often. Manual recommends 60:1 which is probably not a great idea.
Start with the plug and 2T mix, make sure the pipe has been burned out of carbon and muffler repacked (plus all the other assumed stuff – clean filter, no air leaks). Hopefully the piston and rings aren’t stuffed too (>200hrs)? Then play with jetting.

Not again with the countershaft leak! I have never had a leak there in my last 3 KTMS. Make sure you buy the o-ring (or the whole kit) mail order and in original KTM bags with part numbers. Otherwise your getting o-rings from the bearing shop that is the wrong size (like from our local dealer).

Don’t be tempted. These new fadangled utes have nothing going for them other than pretty much everything. :) My Patrol is 15 years now and I wouldn’t trade it. I’m not helping much I think. Look I’m sure most Afgans would dream to own a 20 year old ute….

Good opportunity for a call for donations! Donate button is the big yellow one on the left of screen.
I had to log into D.B.W for some time wasting, that’s how desperate things got here. ;)

G’day, I’m wondering if you make a living out linking youtube videos or it’s just a side income? It’s easy work. You just do quick searches on youtube for content related to a forum and the more clicks/referrals the more money Google pays. I read the other day that a lady that runs an “unboxing” youtube channel where she and others film themselves opening consumer products like toys rakes in millions of dollars a year…. If only I came up with that myself.

Very clever crank/stroke. I’d say it won’t be doing 13,000 RPM!
The moor reminds me of a 2T Diesel actually. As with the 2TD, needs a supercharger to work better :)
