Now that’s scary stuff. High speed slide down a chute with rocks and a $150kg+ snow mobile chasing you… no thanks
Thanks Jeffro. I hope they can take the odd lowside now and again without damage
I’ll definitely look into it Chris. I want one for similar reasons. My memory is pretty ordinary and would like to lead some rides in the future too. We don’t have any good riding areas out here so we find ourselves riding in everyone elses backyard. Be a good tool for safety reasons too (so I tell the wife).
If we can get a deal then sure I’ll go in. I’ll read some reviews on it and get back to you.
I had a GPS on my birthday list 2 years ago and so now I’m back on the bike am ready to buy it finally. Is this Garmin what the ADV lads use or is it practical for trailriding too (not massive or cumbersome)?
That’s too bad Mal. You will have missed a memorable ride this one. Will catch on the next more “local” ride next time!
Looks like you got too close to him TB. He’s got the growl going protecting his kill.
About 5 hrs for me roughly.
It is possible to drive the whole way in the morn but depending where we start from I might even camp somewhere Fri night. Maybe even in the way.
Should be good fun. The birthday ride got me concerned. I found I had to stop for arm pump rests every now and then. Skills and balance are still there. Need more time in the saddle.
I’ll take up whatever you have offered Murph for under cover sleep arrangements. Much appreciated.Hahaha oops no offence eh. I pause to think before selecting. I was going to say DRZ but there are way too many of them around here I noticed from the Birthday ride….. So I targeted a minority group. No seriously.
I think I lost all voters now….
Those 300s are junk bro. Riding around with flash racing numbers like your a teenager…grow up will you and get a bike for your old age – an XR650.
Good stuff Galey. He’ll make a good camp boy. Maybe even a camp cook. He’s one lucky Old Bull.
Never ate much Jerky but after Sat night I’ll no longer be a turkey! It’s good stuff. Processed in Australia, not Indonesia. 100% awesome.
Very generous of the sponsors. I’ll be flying their flags where I can. Suttos I use regularly and Teknik will be getting intimate with my bike’s bouncy bits soonThat’s a good effort Galey. Hpe he’s recovering without too much pain.
Yep that’s not you in the mud mate. The front wheel is still on the ground and there is no massive roost
Thanks for the heads up Mick. I’ll have a chat to Moose tonight. Tent found!
Ah Moto is coming. Will be chatting about jetting when I see him. Good one.
One tank ride for Sat Murph? I always carry 100ml oil in the airbox for emergency.Sounds like you may have nailed it Murph.
Tim may have a good option there if your keen to keep the old girl rolling for the future. If you can source same sized forks off similar years you might even be able to swap internals if you need. Forks do come up often.
Hey Bol that 017 clip of your celebratory profanity is rather funny 😆 😆
I’m pretty sure we went down that hill on Sunday. There were 4WDs trying to get up it and f&*(&ing it up (environmental vandals haha). :blink:That’s a nice clip of me doing that hill climb thanks TB. There is evidence there I put a foot down, bloody pathetic effort really.
Also, on your youtube page you have me listed as stuck in the mud. Not me I won’t take credit for it (My rear guard is black not orange). I think it might be Crash? The 300 riders were myself, Rocket, Crash, Pete the Wulf, Gayley300 and a couple of older models (’02 & ’06!) with members names I don’t recall (GOCMAN on the ’06). I did push one up a hill after catching him from a potentially nasty highside.
Excellent photos and vids. Keep the comentary going lads
