I’m bloody keen for a ride with you Murph, hope it’s soon than later.
Have fun guys.
PTWi will be away to at the central west trail bike rally sorry should have checked dates first will get there one day for a murphsberge
Catombal ride over a murphsburg Alan? Your all crossed up there buddy. I’m still on track murph as long as I make it out the other side of the birthday ride with the others. 2 days sound good. Have to work out where to camp sat night as we get closer. I’m pumped.
We have a CT70 in the family from new in ’74. It has conventional forks. My guess is this old girl predates ours. Possibly even late sixties. Our one would have to have been in the thousands of hours. When my brother brought it back to it’s former glory the motor was absolutely shagged. There was nothing worth keeping from it. Under “tough” in the dictionary there’s a photo of a CT.
Ridden an ’09 one of those on a single track loop we have here.
Very flexible bike. Waaay too much power in the dirt, pulls up good still. My only complaint was it’s quite fat between the boots but that’s what you get really, it aint a 125.
From memory between each single (200m of driveways) I’d be doing 90kmh in second… crazy stuff.
Have fun on that sucker. What ‘ave we here? XL?

Have you been keeping up with the updates on the first page? You will be riding in smaller groups off different grades after we get to the new camping area for the remainder of Saturday and Sunday morning before we start the conga line back to Hampton
TB
Yep, good news that TB. We shouldn’t need to suck dust all weekend. Should be good fun y’all.

The Sunny Corner loam won’t tear the rear tyre up to much.

There’s a mob in Vic that claims to convert Holden V6 motors into diesel runners. Using the same injector technology and electronics there’s no reason why common bike engines like hondas can’t be converted to run on the oily stuff. Unfortunately single cylinder diesels are not the quietest and smoothest running engines around.
Shieeet, me nads just shrunk. That’s impressive.
1 – 2 hour loops? Is this all on Mick’s property?

Orange ride turned into a Harveys ride. Rocket man Alan showed up, good on you that was a surprise. Player 3 had to deliver flowers for Mothers day. Player 4 and 5 were from Team Dubbo City.
Dust and Rocks good for shredding Dunlops eh Al?. One good track for the whole day, nice and long. Very skatey on the loose rocks spent most of the time under steering up the banks as I couldn’t lean the bike over for fear of eating it. Whiteboy Alan loved the sweeping fast stuff on the 530. Too open for my liking. Too fast. Too old and scared for the fast stuff…..
Won’t be going back there again. Next episode will be the OBT birthday ride.
This looks like my sort of ride Murph. You can pencil me in if you like. I don’t want to take up any of the privileged 8 if you get a lot of regulars that want to go on this…. see how it goes. Be good to finally catch your ride again.
Looks like they fixed the airbox issue in that model
I’d like to see a creek water sudo-burnout on an ’08 model and see how long it takes for the airbox to fill up with water… 😆
May 4, 2011 at 9:24 pm in reply to: EOI for maybe an Orange area ride? Sat 7th or Sun 8th May. #200610A ride organised by your favorite dealer. I don’t think you will be invited somehow….. I’ve been tossing it up but as this Orange one has dried up apart from you and I, I’m thinking of going out with that lot to scope out some tracks they know. Then we can go out there and explore some more next ride. It’s reasonably close, been there before but where I went last time was crap.
Yeah no worries….

This EOI ride is a no go at this stage unless more interest sparks up. Looks like a better offer has come up at the Harvey ranges on Sunday.
