The forecast is bad but it looks a little better Fri, Sat and Sun.
The plans have been changed a bit.

Thursday Riding south from Bello 8ish back in town for lunch around 12.30 to meet Mike then ride some hills, at least a dozen.
The sth side copes with rain alot better than the nth and im confident we can get 100ks of good stuff in regardless of the weather.

Friday well ride the Nth side it will be a challenging day, but if we stay in the valley im confident we can get a day of good stuff in.
We will still be able to ride the Pine creek single trails (still the most fun you can have on a dirt bike even in the wet)

Saturday is now in Macksville,100ks+ of gold, 80% singles, 8/9 hours, grade5 in spots. No food or fuel.

Sunday well decide on the day.

F$%k camping in weather like this, I have a spare room and a verandah and ill set up a few gazebos and tarps, and a hot shower.

Well the lowanna ride will not happen this week, David Knight wouldnt get up Crossmaglen hill when its this wet.
Macksville is a better option there is 130ks of pure gold down there and at least 100ks will be rideable no matter what.
There are lots of ridgetop trails, the creeks are rocks not mud,the terrain drains very well and the area gets alot less rain then Coffs.
Its 80%single trail and a bit more physical than Lowanna.
It will be grade 5 in spots.
    Theres no food or fuel.
It will be 100ks + about 8/9 hours.
Meet at Macksville caltex 8am then 10 min drive to spot.
I rate this ride as better than the Lowanna one.
My Mrs will be away so if its still raining by then staying at my place will be a better option than camping.
There is a ride report from last year if you need convincing.

    Hey Ev
Will Thursday/Friday rides be in the Bellingen or Macksville area?
Does it depend on the amount precipitation?
Will Thursday/Friday rides require extra fuel to be carried?
My 500 does pretty good but Tims 200 is a tad thursty
Still weighing up whether to comitt to this ride
It is a long way to go and not be able to do the hills intended because of the bloody rain
Shall talk it over with the son this arvo
He needs two new tyres, two heavy duty tubes and rear wheel bearings
I need v/v clearances checked and shimmed and rear wheel bearings
We have our work cut out for the next couple of days and bloody work gets in the road
If we make it up there we will be getting to the Caravan Park around 9:00 PM Wednesday
    Hope to seeya’s Australia Day
    Cheers

Thurs, Fri will be in Bello rain or hail.
I have spare bottles for fuel so dont worry about that.
There will be dozens of hills Murph including four mile, and even in the wet Coffs has more trails than you can poke a stick at.
I guarentee you this ride will be worth the drive and i know you like a challenge.
Also if you are arriving that late you should probably stay at my place give us a ring on 0413 258 184

Well the forecast isnt too good, but this time last week it was the same, we were on a minor flood watch(wich we get all the time and is no big deal ) and it was supposed to rain all week but in the end it was sunny thurs, fri ,sat with showers on sunday and the ride would have been sweet.
The ride will definetly go ahead, we will just have to avoid certain areas if it is really wet.
Even in the worst case scenario there is still 3 days of riding that is practically rain proof.
The sat ride might end up being more grade 5 than 4 though.
I should also say that the premium in town isnt 98 so bring a jerry can.
Also 450s will probably need an extra litre to be on the safe side.
If you have any walkie talkies bring them to.
    My number is 0413 258 184.

I gather you’ve had a bit of rain down there Ev    how are the creeks running now?

In fact i’v heard about flood warnings being issued?

Just another day in Bello, nothing to worry about yet ( bello floods 4/5 times a year minimum)
Its good to get some rain now , hopefully it wont rain for 2 weeks straight.
If it does, macksville is still a good option , a few ob”s have riden it before STM , spud and Tdriver ,theyll tell you how good it is.
