EAGLE`02 wrote:I had a bent front brake lever the other day, didn`t want to snap it but it was bent downwards in an arch along the whole length almost so it had to be straightened.
I removed the lever from the perch, warmed it up with the brides hairdryer til I could hardly hold onto it  then hit it gently a few times with a rubber mallet. Had the lever lying on the ground with a good carpet garage matt under it to absorb any excess shock,Result after three hits was a nice straight lever with no stress
Give it a good test out before you ride it eagle , Ive had two brake levers brake off in my hand this year (one had been crashed and dropped alot the other was new)
Gday Gordo,Whats the riding like up that way?Is there state forest or private?i is there alot of single track?
cheers evI spoke to Macca today and he reminded me that he also flipped it at that exact spot last week.
Its funny because you are well past the hardest section by then , it must be counting your chickens??
I have to disagree though Nick that hill is not a grade 5.If it was Murphs rides would be grade 10.
The goggle cam is ace but there is something wrong with the sound quality, you can hear this drone that sounds like a
sewing machine, oh hold on that is your DR:laugh: :laugh:adam wrote:Absolutely top stuff boys :woohoo:I’m going to have to make the effort and travel up for one of your rides Ev
Thats good to hear I was getting worrried no one would turn up to the next one after the attrition rate on this one.
You or anyone who wants a grade 4+ is welcome anytime.
cheers evKing STM wrote:Sounds like a great ride EV.
You certainly have maintained your reputation as the “Murph of The North:. :laugh:Hang on a sec , Ive seen some of Murphs photos   and there was nothing like that!!!!
There was one vertical rockface, I rode around it then stood on top of it directing the others to the left DY rode straightup it anyway :ohmy:There has been a couple of dropouts,so there 2 spots available (but remember its a genuine grade 4 at a 5 pace)
Also I should say there will be a lunch stop at a servo (so pies only ) and they might sell out , so bring food if you want.dupsyam4 wrote:Dose that mean no slippery hills EV.
Daaaaaammm.
..
I said as dry as it gets , not dry:laugh:
Yes,meeting at the cemetery at the end of Lyon rd ,ready to ride 8.30 .It will be about as dry as it gets around here so it will be sweet. We are riding Never Never then up crossmaglen hill then up to Coffs then fuel at bonville then back via pine creek which is as good as it gets.
Rob400 wrote:Thanks Ev,
Sounds great.
I am a bit worried that if i take the luggage rack off i wont be able to carry my lunch with me :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:The less weight the better Rob, you already have one hand tied behind your back riding a DRZ
Hi Rob your on the list, you will have to get rid of your lugage rack though, there will be nothing crazy on this ride but it will be very physical lots of really tight, rutted, greasy, rooty, overgrown single track plus some decent hills.
cheers evSounds good
Thanks xy and mal,JDk is my local wrecker but he is the only one in town and can be a bit pricy
Im intersted ,unfortunatley i did a bit of damage today, but will keep an eye on this.
ps is it a clear one?Do you know if “force” radiator guards will fit wiht this tank??
A rekluse would be good on a drz youd have one hand free to spray the weeds
