Plan B was a mixed bag, a few mechanical problems and a lot of moisture didn’t stop us. We did manage 70kms in 8 hours! Just wanted to say thanks to all that turned up and a special thanks to AL’s Mrs for acting as recovery driver!! (DRZ??) STM will be doing the ride report tomorrow.

10 is about the limit see u at 8.00Hopefully the creeks wont be to big 3 days ago they were bone dry so its only this rain to worry about.Thers still a good ride possible.Do you live near? Has it rained much?Does not seem to bad on BOM
Nice one any other takers,
Plan B is still on 8.00 at the caltex at macksville u need to get 120ks(the WR uses 2 lts ) its still a good ride in the wet mostly grade 4 we can skip most of the trickier stuff but plenty of good stuff left.
heaps of ridgeline single plenty of big hills and erosion banks no red clay no 4wd no mud.Hows the rain at SP al?Doesnt look to bad on BOM
The list is Ev +2 and whoever lobs
cheers ev8:00 at the caltex bring your armour and a litre
The macksville ride is 4wd and mud free and mostly single trail.If anywhere on the coast is ok its there.Me and 2 are keen for sat.
Dont give up yet,as long as its not raining on sat some of macksville will be rideable. BOM says not as much rain down there. Is it raining in SP al? Its near you south of macksville. Rich come along if u like
Lanina sux the last 6 months have been wet .The red clay and muddy creeks make it no fun in the wet.
HI all, the lowanna ride is definetly postponed. Its been raining all night and day there is no way we could get up crossmaglen hill this weekend and probably next. I’ll watch the weather and try to pick a date, does anyone have any prefered dates? (i won’t be able to ride on sat 22/1/11 and then every 2nd sat after that but can do any sunday)
If people are still keen there is a chance of a macksville ride on saturday, tomorrow will tell. With this rain it would either be a grade 1 maintrail ride or a grade 5 torture test. I will be going if its posslble.
cheers evHi guys
Just letting you know there are plenty of trails still ridable. Bellingen will be fine it is the Crossmaglen mountain that will stop us but i will check it Friday and let all know what the go is.
Our option b is 40mins south of Bello and i was riding there today and it was bone dry. Even if it rains all week or on the day this will be fine to ride and is an awesome ride anyway.
PS Gary530 & Nige77 are on the list.
Ev
Hi all
The ride is still on Weather permitting. I was up at Lowanna today and the tracks are ok, if needed due to rain there is a couple of tracks we can skip but we need at least 2-3 days of sun in the lead up to the ride or we won’t get up onto the plateau. If it is too wet i have another spot that is about 40 mins south and is more suitable if it’s wet. Anyway, hopefully it won’t be a problem as only showers are forecast. I will check the track on Friday and let everyone know what is going on.Just confirming the ride list;

RiderX??Let us know if there anyone else is keen. This will be a top ride.
Confirming details;
Meet at 7.30am at Nth Bello cemetery, turn right at the post office and cross Lavenders Bridge go straight through the round about until you get to the cemetery which is on the left at the end of the street. The ride is 9-10 hours with a fuel and lunch stop at Lowanna. The trip up is 100kms (but only 50kms on the way back) and i will have about 12 litres but if you have a 1 litre jerry can bring it with you.Email or call me if you have any questions. Mobile – 0413 258 184.
PS, I wouldn’t do this ride without some armour and about 65% left on the tyres (especially if it’s wet!).
Cheers, Ev
