    Well, finally got there,
Left Sydney at around 3pm, and did a absentee vote at Leura then continued on. Little bit of drizzle over the mountains, not enough to get wet but enuf to make it chilly.
Aftre a quick fuel stop at Wallerawang and a sausage roll, I took off towards Ilford, sofala, then finally hill end.
Was a group of Adventure riders there already who prefered to stay in the pub, where I grabbed a couple of beers and a feed from the kitchen. They had a Blues singer giving it his all and doing a very good job.
$7 for the nite at the Village campsite, then off down the bridal track heading to Bathurst.
Nice bit of water over the weir at the turon, and a swag of great camping spots all along the river.
The blockage at Monaghans Bluff isn’t bad, but the landslip is a bit freaky, especially with two cars (one hilux) at the bottom of the cliff, and you can be fairly sure there won’t be a car coming at you around the tight bends, but as bikes can get through you may come across some coming the other way.

eventuall made it to Bathurst, then Lithgo then home via the Bells.
More Drizzle – rain, and a traffic holdup were unfortunately a bike didn’t ride to the contitions and came to grief, dun’t know if the rider was ok, but I can only hope. Didn’t stop cars from wanting to sit right on my arse untill i could pull over on a shoulder and let them pass. A small truck pulling out in front of the traffic soon after tha accident put a nice buffer between them and me.

First ride report, hope you like

    regards
    Sean

After getting the bike all packed and rearing to go, decided to give it a miss the other weekend, after the reports about the weather over the mountains (Thanks DRool) and Sunny Corner (thanks Mal5.1) as well as getting saturated on the way to Penrith, 4 hours in the rain didn’t really appeal (soft I know – lol)
so planning on getting out there this weekend (weather report looks a bit more promising) . . . . . . .

decided to wuss it, bucketing down here, got to Penrith and thought that the dirt from sofala to hill end would be a bit slippery.
better to be safe than sorry, will plan again to go in a fortnight

Really happy with the sound, syncs to my iphone no problem, and just push the big button on the side for it to start to play music from the phone.
Using the voice control (iphone feature although most smart phones have same feature I’m sure) there is a button on the back of the unit that you push, say the name of the person you wish to call (had to change my common numbers to be “One” “Two” “Three” etc as it come up with weird calls – lol.
I haven’t used the intercom yet, but they reckon you can get 900m in open country??, will have to test that……..
