I lived in Kew & worked in Laurieton ,thats where i grew up riding, still have my best mate there who still rides & lives there , if you want send me a pm & he will show you around the place. I miss just getting on my bike & riding out the back of our place into the bush.I have taken some mates there to ride from Brisy for a week & they love it, good luck with the move .
On the NSW /QLD boarder, approx 2 north of Brisbane
If you go through Combyne just go down towards Landsdowne,I think you get on that road that Micknmeld said (Koppinyarrat RD) we used to have a farm on that road ,its a scenic drive down to Lansdown ,from there Wingham is not far away.
Bob needs to change his avatar,or I need to change sites.
Only JOKEING!

Why not get the 465 or 490 IT???
I owned both in my youth. 👿 :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
After getting my mate to ride my first bike home from the shop. (a big brand new DT175) Because I had never riden a bike in my life thus far.
Next bike was a big bore 2T
I do believe the 465 was a nastier bike, but the 490 had the suspension sorted. Suspension/tyres makes an average rider look better every time. (at least thats what I go on)
Looks like a good project, Rat.
ChThat was my fist bike also (a DT 175) from Wauchope ,ahhh the memories
Put my starter moter back together on my 2010/exc 300 ,check out slavens racing for detailed info on how to put them together,im a ludit with mech things but all seemed to work out, dont know if works yet ,will try it out on the weekend.
Sounds like you could show us around, didnt know you lived in Wauchope/Combyne,we had a farm down the Coppinyarra rd towards Landsdowne ,you & my mate are lucky boys with so much rideing areas to chose from, Brisy is okay but you have to drive 1/2hrs sometimes, not the same as rideing from your shed to the bush, had trouble logging on lately my computer said NO,all good back on again.
nice report,I grew up rideing that area ,some of your photos are what we call Baggo Bluf,I have some of the same pics where you are on the edge of the cliff,I have been going back down there to ride for the last 3 years ,take some mates from Brisy,my best mate lives in Laurieton & still rides all that area ,both in our 50s now but still enjoy it,if you need someone to show you around send me pm,cheers Bert

will be doing that myself now
+1
But I keep mine in a small container so it will not dry out.TB
moto wrote:Bert it’s in the Amamoor/Kenilworth area. I’d guess around 1-1.5 hours depending on where in West Brissie you live.eep an eye on the site I’m sure there will be other rides posted in this area and someone can show you around
