Quote:if i can get out of work friday we will do a good old glenmaggie ride, if not we will go for a blast when i get there….sometime between 4 and 6.saturday will be the epic walhalla adventure.
it WILL NOT be for the faint hearted.
it includes the ridge decent of DEATH!
the snaking river single from HELL!
and 2 big arse crossings of the Thomson River.
there will be the standard glenmaggie erosion jumpsi want everyone to prepare their bikes and themselves for anything we could possibly break, snap, kill, puncture, wound, maim or destroy
we will be doing this ride come hell or high weather
i dont care if it snows   we’re still doing it!i want everyone to carry a tube and a spark plug…..please
WE WILL NEED ENOUGH FUEL FOR 120KM++
so bring a 2lt coke bottle or the like….for fuel.
and make sure you fuel up on the way as we will be on the bikes at 8.30AM at the latest.
if anyones needs directions, ring me or PM me
i have done this ride a few times and have had 2 different riders “destroy themselves to the point of meltdown status”…..
one where we were thinking of calling the chopper :dry:so please, if your coming, bring your balls with you
it will be epic dudes
sunday will be rest day. if its nice weather we might get the boat out for a ski….(i wonder how my spine will go with that now)
and then a blast in the evening…..
WTF!!!….Are you saying I should stay home?
You know about my sh!t riding!

Quote:I have traded my DRZ400 for a XT660Z, and riding home from Tamworth found the wind pulling at the visor and whistling through my ears nearly drove me batty (I have never ridden on tar at speed with a peaked helmet). Is this normal and I just have to get used to it, or can I adjust the visor, or should I take the visor off? My helmet is a Aria Tour Cross. Also I put goo in the tyres to help with punctures, could this affect the wheels balance? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers JimI ride both road & dirt and have a heap of different helmets amd they all have some sort of problem. I use to ride an XT600 and I found the M2R Helmet was great for Adventure riding.
The big problem with helmets is you don’t know what they are like until you actually use them and if they catch the wind or are whistling you are stuck with it.

there is heaps of gnarly shit around there, ive only ridden the west side.
south towards erica/rawson there is heaps of singles i hearwe’ll sort somefin out
Dosen’t he hate singles?????
The only reason he hates singles is because the XR’s will boil in tight single trail if you are not careful.
He won’t be on his XR, I think Menace is organising something for him.
