I wish I had of been there just to see Menace get roosted!!!…I would have wet myself if I had of seen it….
I was pulled over by the police in Bunyip State Forest in Victoria last year and was advised by them that I could have been booked for speeding as I was doing well over 60Kph. The law here in Vic as I was told is if there is no speed limit sign the speed limit is then 60kph on a marginal road he also informed me that I also could have been booked for breaking traction and not in proper control of the motorbike but all they were really interested in was that we were licensed, proper helmet etc & had Rec Reg or Full Reg they were not worried about the bike being full roadworthy.
“ps- Billt is a jealous bitch and hates us all now everyone should send him a PM and tell him how good it was “
Get Rooted Bitch!!!!…   What is worse I am not allowed to ride for the next 2 Sundays as well, f*#king family functions

Quote:Nickj as per our discussion today here is how I have mounted the UHF where I can use it safely. I will have an ear piece with a push to talk button on my camelback strap to use with my left hand whilst ridingTB
I use to use this setup so we could comunicate amongst each other, I have a few sets of UHF Radio’s with push to talk buttons with the ear piece that mounts in the helmet, I would hand them out to a couple of guys when we went riding, (don’t do it anymore) lead & tail man had one. I just kept the UHF in my top pocket thought it was easier than mounting it.
Ordered mine today from Adventure Moto with a few other things – I should get it early next week.
Happy birthday to you, happy birhtday day spidyman, happy birthday to you….hip hip hurray!!!…….
I tried to call you but you must be screaning your calls again, I will try from a different phone….
I will order mine from him instead, I would rather support a good cause.
What a great idea, I will order one for myself.

I have the same similar thoughts Greg. I often wonder why some of the car manufactures give Top Gear ther products because the report is not always going to be in there favour
With any luck I will be out riding the next couple of weekends and will write up my thoughts.

Quote:I have spent so much time reading other ADV riders posts on Adventure Riders Forum and the likes, learning what I can. I came across a couple of references to incident between Camerons and Tibooburra where a rider was killed. I understand there is a remembrance site there of some sort, I now intend to stop at the site and pay my respects to a fallen comrade. Maybe it’s the fact I am away from my family for a week, maybe I am just softer then I think I am but found myself pretty choked up while read the first post. The feeling of desperation, hopelessness, disappointment and shock felt by his mate is something that I hope no here ever has to face. I don’t know Brad (the rider killed) but it has left me upset enough to put this thread together and reflect just how precious our life is.Here is the thread Kneeling in the sand
The courage to write the thread is amazing I tip my hat to a champion and a legend friend in the truest sense

Greg, I could not finish reading the whole thread it has reduced me to a blubbering mess while I sit here in my office. I had to do almost the exact same thing just on 2 years ago (6th Oct 2008). I lost my best mate (we had been mates for 35+ years) who died in front of me in the middle of the road after coming off his bike. Doing the CPR and ringing 000 just seemed to happen and I think it is all wiped from my memory somehow but what isn’t is ringing his wife (my sister in law) and having to tell her that he was dead that I will never forget and also what sticks in my memory the most is looking back when I had to leave the scene watching the fire brigade hosind all the blood of the road. I hope nobody has to do anything like this because it will haunt you for the rest of your life.
