Thanx for that Puddles, bloody working as usual over those dates,
What date is the long weekend on?
yeah Mick, we got booked into the Star hotel,, the guy on reception said we wont be drinking too much in the hotel coz you run a great bar our of your shed, casual wear ok, bike talk inevitable, tall yarns for sure,, cant wait mate,, how,s the weather up there? jackets required?
yes and a big Merry Christmas from me to all the guys here, hope you have a good one and see you on the trails next year,, Dunk
Hey Moto, I just sent off my CV, and yes I have PLC experience, thanks or the heads up Zippo
Hey Moto, I might just send my cv off there. I’ve worked on Hamworthy gear in Joburg a few years back,, It was used to fire up the boilers in the factory I was maintenance sparky in,, I’m looking for a change at the mo..
Hey excellent fotos Ollie,,made me laugh,, and yeah Gili got some good footage of the crash,, broke the bracket on the new camera and had to tie it on with cable ties,, I looked back to see if the others were following and when I looked straight this bloody piece of rock was where it should,nt have been and I hit it hard,, son of a bitch,,couldnt ride the next day as the bike was a wee bit pucked and me well I felt like I,d been stomped on by an elephant,, got the bike sorted out in Joburg and the next ride was up in a place called Polokwane and it was ,kin great,, big rocky hill sections tho but do-able,, and very fast bush riding real good
Yeah Mick I,m offski on the 25th,, and the TM is behaving itself which is a relief,, the camera worked a treat and the wide angle lens is tops, tho typical when Keith dropped, Desi dropped and I dropped our bikes respectivelly at different times the camera was switched off,, how it goes hey,, and yeah an old bulls ride there would be good,, tho we,ll need to talk to the blokes that know their way around the place as I havent a clue lol,, there was a beach spot called sandy bay where we dropped down to on the bikes down a snotty rocky hill,, we could maybe bring the boat there up river with the bbq stuff and have a sausage sizzle thingy there on the beach tho we,ll have to find out if its all legal etc blah blah,,ok zippo
it cost $995.00 and yes mick the tm is still goin good at the mo touch wood lol., hey hows the foot gili?? when will you be up for a ride?
no not yet it arrives tomoro,, we did have a really good ride on monday down at nowra,, desi found some more single track stuff which was excellent and a couple of good hills to do,, one of the guys had a bit of a puke on the second hill lol,,the river level has droped quite a bit since last time,, keith and I had to cut it short around 3pm but we still clocked up 116 kms,, I wasnt gonna ride until my trip but big rich reckons I gotta go and test the new camera out so we,ll see haha,,, zippo
well I got the vio pov its much better than the elmo ( says the guys at launch cameras)with the picture quality difference very noticeable and its easier to operate when downloading into your puter, wot I liked about the pov 1 is it takes AA batteries and I can carry spares in my bag whereas the elmo has the in built nicad which obviously if it goes flat on you out there you have to charge the whole thing up back at the house.. It was touch and go for me tho which one to buy,, tho I do like the remote stop start record unit which will be on my wrist,, the elmo didnt have that,, now for sale one used oregon atk2 helmet camera with cables $160.00,, zippo
yeah mac I think the resolution is 730 x 460 or thereabouts, and yes the squirrel is dead right there with the aids thing in swaziland being a huge problem for the country but the girls in the foto are there for the annual “Reed Dance ” where the virgin swazi maidens gather to dance and show themselves for the king and he gets to choose one or two or whatever,, I dont know how many he,s got at the moment but his dad the old king had over 90 wives,,, fook me can you imagine if they all came on their wrong time of the month togther lol,,enyways I,ll be riding my RMX and hopefully no gravel burns,, just the usual huge hangover or babelaas as its called there, zippo
