CHINESE SICK LEAVE : “I NO COME WORK TODAY!!!”
Hung Chow calls into work and says, “Hey, I no come work today, I really sick . Got headache, stomach ache and legs hurt, I no come work.”
The boss John says, “You know something, Hung Chow, I really need you today. When I feel sick like you do, I go to my wife and tell her to give me Sex. That makes everything better and I go to work. You try that.”
Two hours later Hung Chow calls again. “I do what you say and I feel great. I be at work soon………You got nice house.”
I spoke to KTMrats mate Gary, earlier and he suggested the C-tek 800m/a charger also. He had none in stock and his price was $110. He did indicated that using this charger would prolong the life of the battery by up to 3 times. Probably a worth while investment considering the cost of a replacement battery is about $180.00 – $190.00 for the battery.
I have spoken to a couple of auto electricians today and the advice from both was it was best to charge from a source of no greater than about 1 amp output. Although one did suggest I could put the bike battery in parallel with a car battery and use a larger battery charger.
Found this info on battery charging rates.
MAXIMUM BATTERY CHARGING RATE
The maximum battery charging rate is often specified by manufacturers as C/5 where C refers to the ampere-hour (Ah) rating of the battery. Using this terminology, a 10Ah battery being charged at a C/5 rate corresponds to a 2.0A current. Exceeding this maximum rate should be done only with the manufacturer’s permission. Some particularly robust batteries may be charged at a 1C rate (or even higher). However, this usually requires a charger that is custom designed for the battery. The size of an off-the shelf charger should generally be chosen so that the C/5 rate is not exceeded.Austblue wrote:

Although this vid is not for your Kato, the concept is the same.

If your valve clearances close up enough to where the bike will not start or has difficulty in starting, you may have already done damage to your engine. If for example the required spec’s are .008″ clearance and you only have 002″ clearance, the bike will start but when it warms up to operating temp the metal will expand from the heat and the .002″ will close up to the point when the valve is never fully seated. This is one cause in difficulty in starting. Possibly not as you suggested, the valve not opening far enough. Running an engine like this will eventually result in the head of the valve breaking off.

Hey Champo,
Here is a link where you can get Toshiba, Lenevo or a number of other brands of laptops. I have used Harris Technology for a number of years and have found them to be very competitive on price.

I have to agree with your comments Bruce.
I support the local motorcycle outlets where possible. My wr450 was jumping in and out of top gear, a common problem I have since found out. I diagnosed the problem to be rounded off dogs on 3rd and 5th gear pinions. I approached 2 well known bike shops and was quoted between $2500 and $2800 to fix the problem. So with this in mind I found the parts I needed from the US
GEAR, 5TH PINION $20.68
GEAR, 3RD PINION $46.00
FORK, SHIFT 2 $31.77
FORK, SHIFT 3 $35.58
SHIFT SHAFT ASSY $22.32GASKET, CYLINDER $4.51
GASKET, CYLINDER HEAD 1 $25.47
GASKET, CRANKCASE COVER 3 $7.97
GASKET $4.44
GASKET, CRANKCASE COVER $2.99
OIL SEAL $6.00
OIL SEAL $3.88
OIL SEAL $2.86
GASKET, TENSIONER CASE $1.07Total US $215.54 + freight about $30.00
With the money I saved purchasing from the US I also replaced all the bearings and the piston and rings. A full engine rebuild for under US $500.
As a business owner I support our local businesses in OZ where possible, but sometimes it is hard to justify the extra cost purchasing locally.
Another example is I purchased a new set of gaerne SG10 Boots for under Aust$250 delivered to my door. The cheapest price I could get in Oz was around $600. Also a new Bell moto8 helmet US$79.00.
Cheers Glenn
Just got back from Bulls place the rain this morning only hung around for 20 minutes then the sun was out for the rest of the day. The trails Bill lead us on were sweet until about 30 minutes into the ride and he f@#%ed his knee and headed back to the shed whilst every body else continued on the ride.
Thanks to Bull and mrs Bull for a great day.
