Ev and Bob you two can stay near each other, one can carry the roll of tie wire and one can carry the packet of cable ties.

I suppose I shouldn’t talk my bike has both wire and cable ties on it. :P

It even had some Neville engineering Bling on it at one stage

I reckon the mid hard has to be harder compound than the mx extra ????
Stands to reason if its lasting longer in gravely hard/rocky conditions

just tried to google it but didn’t find what i wanted

not that i really give a shit
I’m with Boony I just want a grippy Black round one that someone else has put on the rim for me

hay bob the mid hard does not stand for the rubber compound but the terain you ride so thats prably the right tyre to use up your way

That would be why I don’t work in a tyre shop then

I was looking forward to the OBT Race start but apparently that won’t be happening :(

Was also looking forward to the half time enduroX pipe, and log challenge but that mightn’t be welcomed either ?? :(

I might bring them anyway if i get around to it :)

Recently on a ride we stopped at Dargo, home of the famous and very cluey Dargo Dan. He said one of the biggest mistakes he sees guys that come riding up there is guys run hard compound tyres because it’s hard and rocky there. He went on to explain how a softer tyre compound will flex and wont tear knobs out or chunk as much. To be honest it made me rethink what I do and ride on I have since got nearly 1200kms out of a Geomax and it’s not even half worn and I reckon I am riding as fast as I ever have. Just putting it out there as food for thought

    TB

I beg to differ on that
I have Mid Hard Pirelli 120 on rear and the bloody thing won’t wear out so i can replace it and it hasn’t seen much soft terrrain at all just hard , rocky gravelly shit

I better go and check if its ripped any knobs off but 99.9% sure it hasn’t

In my opinion soft is soft depends wether you are having a go or not ??

Soft will flex until it peels off and then its obviously useless

I’ve ordered a pirelli mid hard 120 and an S12 for the front , thought i would try one of those s12 that seem to be popular

Was going for an mx extra rear but they didn’t have any

The mid hard seems to wear to certain point then not want to wear out

I might even take my new knobby knife to the old one before i change it

Who wants to put my tyres on at sunny corner
I will pay either in beers or cash
