Thats with 7 litres of fuel. Your current WR will be a fair bit lighter than that even though it carries more fuel. 129kg will surely make the new WR the heaviest 450 on the market.
It will also be interesting to see what the race teams do, I think most enduro teams at the moment are running the YZ. We’ll have to wait and see if they go for the WR or stick with the lighter YZ.
Yeh I’m not the least bit worried about the weight issue
apart from the 8 kg on my back at times that shits me occasionally ………………well thinking about it thats only when i get off my bike and walk so yeh it doesn’t worry me at allThe way i see it your on a bike if it feels a little heavy twist the throttle and hang on it will soon feel light again if you come unstuck and fall off , pick it up and start again admittedly on the side of some hills it can be a little difficult lifting anything at times but that is 99% to do with my legs not how heavy my bike is .
If your jumping the triples at the stadium it might be an issue ??129 kg is still probably lighter than my 4 wheeler or the old ag bike that i used to ride

Snowy has no idea !!!
Interesting choice for long rides though,,, CRF450
You will be tired after a long day  More ready for a cold beer or twenty I suppose :woohoo:The Cush Hub is a must, will make a big difference and give you more life from chain & sprockets too
Good LuckSince weight seems to be a big issue about the place if he has a padded arse why we he be more tired than riding a ktm 690 ???

you need a mirror on your KTM you go slow enough to check your hair :laugh:February 27, 2012 at 9:02 pm in reply to: Should i ?shouldn’t I ?Buy a 11 450 or a Fuel injected #217204badbowie wrote:Bob is that price for brand new? If so its pretty good.I went from 04 to 09(07,11) My take on the change
04 were pretty aggressive 09 is no different once rejetted, piped and decorked
04 had a pretty big tank alot bigger than 07-11 fuel range can be pretty ordinary out of the standard tank if your on it like 70km
Alot of parts are interchangeable but there are some that are not.
Imo 11 is not that much greater than an 04 I found it harder to set the alloy frame bike up over the steel frame.
If you have the cash burning a hole in your pocket I’d say go for the 11 you won’t be disappointed but allow a bit for a pipe and rejet they are shit stock. At the moment the dealers want ridiculous prices for the FI 2012 WR they can keep them for now.
No there isn’t any cash on fire in my pocket
My motor isn’t very old
and is yz specs at the moment(for better or worse ??)
A new bike would be good but if it wasn’t a lot different …..maybe not bother ??February 27, 2012 at 8:55 pm in reply to: Should i ?shouldn’t I ?Buy a 11 450 or a Fuel injected #217202aido wrote:$9000 for a 11 is a good price mate
Dont think you would be putting much from your 04 onto a 11 , complete different bike
heaps better, you still wont be able to touch the ground tho :laugh:Hey Aido have you looked at your avatar recently ………..well have another look just for me
What about the forks ,swing arm ,drivetrain ?????? is the actual motor any/much different apart from attaching to a different frame will they fit /interchange between frames ?
February 26, 2012 at 10:14 pm in reply to: What size 3 core wire for inductive proximity switches #217091Cheers
I’m actually replacing a cable that has a fault somewhere i had to cut the cable 50 mm from the sensor to get it to work
I’ve only got to go about 10 mtrs , i was trying to find a roll of the 3 core (Black,Blue and Brown ) so that it is color codedI had no idea what mm2 it would be or was
BobSome were 8 and 9 others like ours were 5. So pretty tough age group. 1 week experience compared to 3 years (if they all started at 5). Good times and entertainment
He loved it and he said to Dad when he got home, that he might need a spare bike that goes faster. How about a Kato dad, did you see how fast those others were fangin?? He brought a trophy home, which he has taken to school to show off (all the nippers got trophies) and can’t wait ’till the next race :woohoo: :woohoo:
lickety splits
good stuff another non orange one
BellingenEv wrote:450 is the go, much easier to ride both skill and fitness wise, the weight you will hardly notice but the power you will.
Also there more versatile you can gear it to climb hills or ride on the highway.
Get a WR they can take a puncha punch is what you call it Ev
There’s a couple of 11 models left do you want one ……….it would save buying new plastics for the old one
Fuck off i reckon my t shirt girl was better but the do gooders kicked up a stink
