Little story about the biggest off that i have had to date (and we all know i’ve had a few..might write a book one day :P )
Friday morning about half an hour before our lunch brake we were crusing up a fire trail.I was in about 4th gear enjoying the serenity when i started to head into a slight right hand sweeping corner.I spied a dead tree hanging a quarter of the way over the track and didn’t think much of it.I knew i was a bit close for comfort but thought to myself”little twigy branches, they aint gonna hurt me” then i saw in a micro second a long branch sticking up like a medievil spike  Too bloody late to swerve or brack i hit it  It went under my bark buster past my clutch, smashed my fingers, and kept going  I was up on my pegs and it then proceeded to pierce my riding pants, puncture a neat hole in my inner thigh pad, split my new skins  belt me down the side of the thigh and headed on straight out the back of my trouser leg .CRIKEY :woohoo: .I hit the deck like a sack of spuds and landed on my bloody shoulder :( .Once the dust settled i took stock of the situation and relised my leg was sticking up in the air with a bloody 8 ft pole going in one spot and out the other  “Holy shit” i thought  .I had a little peek inside my ripped pants and let out a sigh of relief that i hadn’t become a KEBAB :P .Laid down and waited for a few of the lads to come around the corner. When they got there there eyes were as big a saucers  .I remember one of the boys saying he didn’t want to have a look otherwise he might spew :X .Once they relised i wasn’t a real KEBAB they broke the stick in three places cause it was still stuck in the bark busters and me :S .Shoulder and fingers were hurting like a bastard.Took my glove off and two fingers were pretty ugly, one in particular. It look like it was dislocated so i gave it a sharp pull but it was only swelling :cheer: .They kevlar on my Bullpit gloves i reckon saved both my fingers from getting ripped clean off B) .Back on the bike and putted off to our lunch stop.Had a few panadol sandwiches and put some ice on my shoulder.Lunch was a bit of a blur and if you notice when House is interviewing me i’m still abit shellshocked :silly: .Rode for the rest of the day and had an early night at Narooma.Woke up next morning and took stock of the situation. Two opptions.1.put the bike in the truck and cruise around in the truck with olsd Les allday and bitch and moan about how much pain i was in.Or B..get back on the bike cop the pain and enjoy it.Easy choice eh? :cheer: 3 weeks of pyhsio and two infected fingers now :( ….but hell….it was worth it :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

you two need a labottomy. …..the 2 dead match sticks are explaining to the fresh match stick what their little flame off caused (first one a bush fire…second one a house fire….and the un burnt matchstick thinks its pretty cool and i have no doubt he has high expectations of one day causing mass destruction when it one day becomes his turn to flame it up ;)
