Day 3
This was gunna be a big day
Frosty start…Lighting Ridge for Gods Sake ? Waved good bye to the shifty miners wth shifty pasts..and the women who open beer bottles withtheir nostrils..
Onto a little place called Cumborah.Red roads were great riding with that soft hard compact dust made the riding tops…then gravel  ..then rocks.. …then back to soft dust again :cheer: Chicken ran over a baby goat  …but its ok…really..it is…the goats are pretty tough out that way.I nearly got flattened by a steer that bolted out and front of me and every one had a few hairy moments with Roos…them big Red bastards
Pulled up at Narran Lakes…Bloody National parks locked the get so we didn’t get a look at the lake…spewin…ah well..seen one lake…seen em all :cheer: Headed south and made it to Walgett by following the River..or “Woolgit” as Nick calls it
$4 for a bacon & egg roll Bargain !!!..and some amusing scenery to go with it..she was all happening in Woolgit 😆
Time to head to the Pilliga :cheer: .Good dirt road between Cryon and “Woolgit” and i managed to drive past a few propertys that my Grandfather used to own which i had never seen beforeHad a drag race with the 2 Gay boys on there Teneres just before Pilliga.Heidi in the middle and the other two locust looking things either side of us….WE SMOKED EM :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: . After collecting my trophy we pulled up at Pilliga (on schedual) had a great feed at a nice little cafe there and got some fuel off Greg at the servo..he knew we were comming and was very exited to see us..i think we supplied him with his drinking money for the night .Pulled up at Gweggebar checked my GPS..did a sign of the cross (which seemed to un nerve a few)
.Pilliga forrest (or scrub) is certainly different. Some of the road we went down had sapplings growing right up in the middle of them  Sand sections made it alot of fun with a few offs..Heidi fainted again and those Galahs beepeed there horns again
We got half way and it was touch and go there for a while and we had a team vote and decided to press on :cheer:
you would not understand my relief when we popped out between Baan Baa and Bogabri..i was hoping there was a gate…and there was..and the BASTARD WAS OPEN.. HOORAY :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: .Pulled into Boggabri servo (on Schedual) said hooroo to Solesy who had to bolt.Got a few stubbies and set up camp near a bridge on the Namoi River just outa town..More beersSolesy on one of those reallly nice roads out near Narran Lakes

i fed this dog a bit of my bacon & eggs roll. She was cute…and hungry..and probably would have taken off my hand..there was heaps of them just festering about the main street.
Solesy…what a neatly packed bike.
Tb takes evasive action…chicken is playing chicken

Cold frosty start.Met up with Solesy at Maccas and the lads reckoned i had,a fair bit of Oil dripping out of Heidi  I tried to explain to them that she was just exited and had a little accident  .Charlie5,a new old bull member happened to drive past munching on a hash brown.Matt(Charlie5) said bring her down to the workshop for a bit of a check out..(he owns Bikes & Bits..and gives Old Bulls discounts..Plug Plug).Turns out someone had given her too much chain lube the night before..probably Boony or Snow..bloody terrorists. All good and on our way…Thanks Charlie5
.
Took some nice tracks to Barraba and met up with Razor at his place.Razors wife Helen cooked us all pikelettes and cuppas..God bless ya Helsy  Razor led us through some inteseting tracks and Heidi had a little lie down as i tried to get on her…all i wanted to do was find out how heavy the dirty little girl was…bloody heavy..she needs to go on a diet.Tb & Nickj beeped their horns in delight..bloody Galahs
Got into Narrabri at lunch time and BundyRoy came down and had a counter lunch with us..cheers mate..good feed
Hooned towards Terry Hie Hie and then onto Moree to refuel.TB was getting abit worried we wouldn’t be at Mungindi before dark. She’ll be right…all running to schedual  Driving into the sun with a rutted road certainly has its moments..and my Sun glasses are still on the road somewhere  .
Razor had a great place for us to camp on the river which is the Qld border.I got a bit exited and drank 6 beers and 3/4 of a bottle of rum…what a silly thing to do.What ever happened after that is all lies i tell ya
Just after this photo Hedie fainted and took me with her..i need longer legs
Razor got x rutted and fell in the mud.He lifted his finger to let us know he was ok..we were very worried
Solesy and Nickj talk politics
we are about to ask Razor how he got his name…ask him sometime..its worth it

June 26, 2011 at 9:36 pm in reply to: Tamworth, QLD, Lighting Ridge and back ride report 2011 #203742The night before
TB,Nickj and Chicken rolled into my place Wednesday arvo and the poor bastards looked bloody cold
They told me stories of adventures in the highlands with sleet and extreme weather conditions around some place called “Noondock”
I offered them a hot shower to warm em up but all they wanted was a beer :cheer: ..Thats the spirit !!!
A few of the lads came around for a suasage sanger and a beer or two and the night turned out to be a piss take on poor old Bollocks..just as well i am thick skinned.Side bets were laid as to how long before all my gear etc would fall off the back of Heidi and perhaps the adventure ride would consist of a ride to the far end of my drive way and back…Blah Blah Blah
It was good to see,Boony,House,Buzz and Snowy getting as exited as we were about the big trip.I think even Snowy said “aww…i wish i was comming with you  ….yes, you did…or something like it  .Bed reasonably early as Micknmeld knocked the stuffing outa them the night before :huh:A rumble of motors heralded the arrival of the 3 amigos up my drive way
Snowy (future ADV rider),Boony..whose neck looked like it turned to Jelly, and Buzz who looks like hes..Buzzing :woohoo:
After many jovial pokes, hedi’s gear is tied up tighter than a back packer in wolf creek

BULLFROGS & BLOW JOBS
A woman went into a store to buy her husband a pet for his birthday.
After looking around, she found that all the pets were very expensive. She told the clerk she wanted to buy a pet,but she didn’t want to spend a fortune.
‘Well,’ said the clerk, ‘I have a very large bullfrog.
They say it’s been trained to give blow jobs!’‘Blow jobs!’ the woman replied.
‘It hasn’t been proven but we’ve sold 30 of them
this month,’ he said. The woman thought it would be a great gag gift,
and what if it’s true…No more blow jobs for her!
She bought the frog.
When she explained froggy’s ability to her husband,
he was extremely skeptical and laughed it off! …The woman went to bed happy, thinking she may
never need to perform this less than riveting act again. In the middle of the night, she was awakened by the
noise of pots and pans flying everywhere, making
hellacious banging and crashing sounds..She ran downstairs to the kitchen, only to find her
husband and the frog reading cook books.‘What are you two doing at this hour?’ she asked.
The husband replied,
‘If I can teach this frog to cook……….you’re gone.’
Well done Lotsa & Tryhard :cheer:
