Very sorry to read it was Ivan Erceg . Remember reading he rode 30km with brocken ribs and a punchered
lung a few years back , tuff as nails and a personality to match.

    Very sad new

    RIP old mate

    Hi TB,
I missed out on the last 2 rides but count me in on that one. It is going to be a great ride….
Remember a French guy on a KLX250 on his way back to Wiseman Ferry finishing the APC rally?
Well I will be on a Berg 501 this time. I just need to strap my 8L fuel bladder somehow.
    Cheers,
    Rod

I like this thread. The Royal at Capertee puts on a good feed and doesn’t complain when you park at the door. I don’t think they have accommodation though, pity.

We have stayed there a few times unless its changed recently

Edit: I just googled it and they do see here

    TB

Can also recomend the Royal at Capertee . Very friendly , let us use the pub phone free [no mobile service
at Capertee] and let us put our bikes in his shed over night.
Also the top pub in Omeo , great feed and let me loose in his shed for bike repairs while he went mustering cattle with a mate .
Lots of others that i don’t now the name of like the Louth pub ones in Dargo ,Bright, Glen innis , Moonan Flat he set up a tent in the back yard for us and didn’t charge a cent.

TB my spot2 has been mounted on the bars from day one and been very reliable
till about a month ago . Maybe the vibration has finally got to it . More than half the people
on the ride had trouble . Still might try mounting it elsewhere and see wot happens.

I have used a spot2 as well for last two or so years and worked very well till about a month
before a recent 2week ride when it started to play up [ missing a few spots] changed the batteries
and thought it was ok . Changed the batteries 3 times in two weeks and now it only spots when ive
been stationary for while . I supose thing dont last forever ,maybe time to get a new one.

Has anyone else had trouble with there spot2

Maybe I should have started a new thread
