    Friday
Snowy wanted to go for a ride at either Lithgow or cells, his mates in Lithgow ended up not being available so we headed off to cells.

the pair at gingers waiting for a late runner

I studied the weather map for a few weeks and knew we would be in for some crappy stuff, and it didnโ€™t let us down, talk about blow the dog off its chain.
Camp was set up and it was time to go and do a bit of trail maintenance, so off up the Kokoda we went.
    15102010006.jpg
We kind of cleared a path and thought we were going great guns until Snowy got taken out by a rouge vine that shot him off the back of his bike like a fighter plane off a carrier. Snow recons he looked up only to see the DRZ sailing up the Kokoda trail pilotless. We got hours of value out of that one.

We rode a few more new trails and then I said that I needed to go to Telstra hill and check if some of the boys had tried to ring to say if they were coming or not, We pops out on the main road only to find it blocked by a huge mother of a gum, We cleared a kind of a path that we could get a 4by out through in case of an emergency, then i rang the boys and said If your still coming bring a saw.
    Saturday
To their credit they turned up Saturday morning at camp just as we were heading up to see if they could get in to camp. They had cut a path to a bike ride, now thatโ€™s dedication. We waited for them to gear up and off we went riding on what can only be described as the best off road riding ground around, loamy, grippy, slippery, tight, open and just full on fun.
I told the boys that the mayor of wauchope would have sensed we were in his turf and he would probably be sitting in our camp arms crossed and tapping his foot. So we headed for camp and sure enough there he was young bloke and all.
Hellos said, intros done, foreigners sent on their merry way, it was time to play Old Bulls style.
Single trails, drag races, freestyle show at the quarry, some main road stuff (yuk)75 ks later (arvo ride remember) we arrived back at camp.16102010001.jpg
    16102010002.jpg
Knackered and with smiles from ear to ear.
Ring of knowledge set up and some bevies consumed and that was Saturday.
    16102010003.jpg
Sunday dawned with the gods shining on us, not a breath of wind and not a cloud to be seen.
We headed out for a quick wind down ride(yeah right), we belted up a fire trail heading to the first single and thatโ€™s when we met the tour riders, (by the way boys you all still owe me $200.00). Explanations said to the blokes pointing up the trails were off, I`m thinking how good of a ride organiser am I, even supplied static corner men for the boys, Jeez them blokes looked confused. Yeah and when old mate point to the corner and I roosted and kept going was to die for.We upped the anty and got the heck out of their way. (after all they paid for their ride).

We rode the worlds bestess trails for the next few hours and then I steered the tribe down to a gold mine i knew of.
We done the touristy thing and then headed back to camp via Kokoda, loaded up and headed to gingers creek for lunch.Fairwells done everyone went home.
Thanks to all for a top weekend.
    Sorry Kram180 next one hey.

Just got off the phone from a dejected TB. Unfortunatly it rained “Like forty bastards” last night and the boys have had to make the decision to abort their plans of going to Camerons Corner. It was reported that Moose woke up with a swimming pool in his tent and he had to wring out his riding gear for today. They are now waiting back at Yunta, hoping that the service vehicle can make it back there through the mud. The amended trip will now include a 200km blacktop run to Broken Hill and then onto Silverton, where they have booked a bunk house and are going to keep drinking untill they get locked up. ;)

Apparently Boony, they have decided that it is all your fault.

it sux that they had to turn around
bet their still having an adventure :) :) :) :)

Yes CathiM, when I first arrived there at Louee I couldn’t believe we had driven 7 hours and then paid, to ride in stuff we would normally avoid riding around here.

Yeah ,,but the party side was worth the trip, wasnt it.
when the owner recommends you run 18psi in tires, you know theres something going on. I would hate to come off on some of them trails,,ouuuuuuuchhhh
