Well the poker and run ride 2010 started with a touch of drama , but a phone call to TB to ask Mick if wauchope had a RTA and we were set.
The crew were keen to ride the Cathie mystery tour being held by puddles aka (compass).so we headed over early Friday morning to allow us enough time to unload some gear at the farm stay and then head to lake Cathie as we were meeting puds at midday so he show off some of his trails
We arrived in wauchope and met up with Aaron outside Mud and Tar and Damus needed a label holder so we all rocked in and introduced ourselves as Old Bulls, after about ½ hour chat we were off.
Mick and Greg called into the farm stay to say gday then they bolted. We shot off to meet up with moose who escorted the tribe to puddle town.
We had a great ride around some sweet trails and we were also treated to one of the best views I have ever seen. Compass took this opportunity to explore some new trails and covered it up by looking lost,(clever Bugga). Thanks for a GREAT ride Puds it was awesome.
Back to the farm stay via the bottlo and the shenanigans’ began. We got to meet all the fellow Bulls that were staying at the farm stay
Around 7.00 the courteous bus pulls up and off to the RSL we go to meet everyone. We woke to the smell of bacon and eggs the next morning, If you are staying in wauchope I can recommend the Brekken ridge farm stay, it is unreal.
We made the 8.00 meeting place just in time to join the convoy out to the chosen riding grounds.
My day did not look like it was gunna start real well as my bike was on Aarons ute and I was in snow’s ute, Aaron parked at the quarry and we parked at the start point,2011 old bull of the year should be Tiny, thanks for the lift mate. The trails were sweet and not too difficult but just slippery enough to keep you on the ball. I had an absolute ball and didn’t spew in me helmet (bonus), From what I seen this ride was exceptionally organised as there was even a brand new DRZ parked out in the scrub in case we needed parts, good thinking boys but we didn’t need it, however I did think it would be hilarious to jump on it and belt through the mud hole its owner was standing at taking photos, (imaging the look on his face).
A huge thank you to Muck Off Mick for the sponsorship and a big thank you to all involved in running the day and a big good onya to the Tamworth boys, It was worth the trip hey boys.Boony

Quote:Well we have just spend hours in Micks shed as per the norm. While I was fixing Micks hard start problem I got Mick to drain the carby bowl, this done he started rooting around with the fuel from the bowl, “tip it out I yelled” to which he gave me a big lecture about the environment
So stupid pours it in a stubbie on the bench next to the current stubbie he is drinking :ohmy:Need I go on, so yes he drinks but dont get him “started”
Now I need to puncture by ear drums as he wont stop going on about it
So he goes up the house for sympathy and his missus calls him a dickhead “Gold” :laugh:TB
so whay your saying is Mick`s all fuelled up and ready to go

😆Why would you push a perfectly operational bike up a hill, isn’t it easier to ride it?
(because I can`t ride bikes very well.thats why it will need pushing,Ohhh dont worry about it)
That’s what I’ve generally discovered, that’s sorta like having a dog and barking yourself…..Boony you Tamworth Blokes are deadset strange, in a nice sort of warm and fuzzy way, but strange nonetheless…
What do you mean strange?? :huh:And yep Mick just what I’ve been waiting for my whole life “Two fat blokes on the back of a BRP, hooting through the scrub, so one can stand there like a goose and wait for the occassional bike to roost him”…. Mmm can we throw a bullants nest in and we’ll have a deal.
How about sitting at the finish spot tallying up hands, and laughing at people….
😆
