While servicing the DRZ yesturday I checked my spokes as usual and that I could easily get half a turn on each. I did the same to every spoke but some felt looser than others, a think I saw somewhere that a half turn all round was all you should do so not to miss shape the wheel.

Is this the right way to do it??

and why do people put cable ties on them, I seen them on micks pig at cells.

    Thank you Boony

Your question leaves me puzzled because you can easliy pack a army tank if you have the low loader to transport it cant you   I mean if you are to take say kero for a 3 day ride to clean your filter this being a liquid can be taken exactly the same way cant it :P

Its good gear yeah you can take it Boony

    TB

    my bad.
I thought it was a system that had the containers to wash your filters in the some form of cleaning process.

In modern 4 stroke motorcycles air filters and the air it breathes seem to make or break the run you get out of your bike. We have all heard or seen horror stories of dusted engines.

After reading the air filter discussion recently there was the point made that the Motul filter oil was a good product (I think the best I have ever used IMO) but it was messy and time consuming to clean.
I couldnt argue, it takes some cleaning but the oil NEVER drains out of the filter when in the bike, even after being left in the bike for way to long while I was recovering from shoulder surgery was still tacky and stringy when the side cover was removed. I spoke with Mal at Sutto’s about cleaning the filters when using Motul and he recommended I try Mo-Tech foam filter cleaner.

    871423173e513312e381c5f1a5b7007d_Small-20100626.jpg

So today I used it for the first time. I had two dirty filters, both with Motul filter oil through them. I cleaned one with Kero the other with the Mo-Tech foam filter cleaner and I was super impressed with how quick and well it cleaned really it was twice as easy as kero. It cleaned it so easily and well I rinsed it with warm water as it didnt need a wash in soapy water like the kero one needed. I put the Mo-Tech foam filter cleaner back in the bottle after the dust and sediment drained to the bottom of the cleaning bucket to be used again, after settling it had hardly discolored.

Now I have the benifet of using Motul with far better protection and is easier to clean then No-Toil (I only use No-Toil as an example because people rave about how easy it is to clean) Of course this is my opinion only but I will say this if you use it and can show me its not easier to clean and far better then kero I will pay for your Mo-Tech foam filter cleaner :)

And in case your wondering yes I paid for it, I dont get anything for you buying it from wherever if you do. Its just my review I have done to a problem I saw / heard people saw with a good product (the Motul filter oil) I like reading other punters opinions when they try stuff so I like to return the favour

We desided to wait until we got B1 running to see what we were up against before we total stripped the beast,
So far we need (donated ) to the project.

Directions to a service manual on the bikes,Beagle get on the WWW,that can be your job.

someone with good sound knowledge of these little things( g`day TB)

kick start sharft/half cog set up , would be appreciated.

and anything else anyone thinks would assist,,(they are in a bad way but we will rebuild)(Bollocks is paying 😆 )

B2 is in a worse state so she`s the donor bike for a few bits(not many ) but theres a few,
We tore the heart of of her whislt we had a coldy .
Bolls will tell ya the history of these bikes, there is some dodgy work on them.

    G`day all

I gets a call from the prince of bling to come and have a look at these new fang dangle Honda mini bikes he has all of a sudden become the “proud” owner of..
Bolls asks if I could give him a bit of a hand to start the restoration project. I went to me shed , opened the door and stood there and thought,Mmmmm working on a Honda? what tools will I need, So I grabbed the grinder and headed off to Bolls place. :)

I gets to Bolls and only then did I realise that this was gunna be a challenge to say the least,,but hey there Hondas, how hard could it be.I says to Bolls , stand back and I`ll show ya how to work on these things.

Start with loosning some bolts :)
    25062010002.jpg

I says to Bolls, you is just starting to get his kingdom(shed) shed up for bike work, I need to get you a work light, She`s all good he says and heads off inside, and then returns with his new work light

    25062010003.jpg

We set about dismantling the little bike under the bright light from the work light, The drive train cover was first(needed a bit of persuation .but when we got it off things started to look promising,( we just need to work out what everything actually does)
