I suppose its happy birthday to all you old bulls out there, Chris (very unatractive but apparently can play the guitar) and TB (again no oil painting and has become the ADV king of the world) I thank you for your drunken night desicion to have a go and create Old Bulls trailriders, from this site I have had the oppertunity to meet some of the best people in the world and to ride in some of the area around this country that I would have never ever been able to ride in. For those back seat old bull , if you want to experience the true Old Bulls way do a bit of travelling and hook onto as many of the organised OBT rides you can, you never know you may even enjoy it, PS they are not drinking sessions they are bike rides???
Happy Birthday Old Bulls Trail riders.

As Snowy and Bollocks said, it was a great day in the forest around nundle, a tad cold morning but a great day.
We started of by going over some recently cut in singles and then we went and looked at the steps to make sure all was good. The boys have out done themselves this time, that new single is wicked,. We have deliberately put some transport stages into the loops to give riders and bikes a chance to de stress and cool down before they are plunged into the next awesome trail.
I led 14 other riders out towards Koolkuna berries at a, shall we say brisk pace, and all was going well right up until House who was sweeping remembered they sold port at the berry patch, so he pulled up and stuck a knife in his tire and then deliberately pinched the second tube so he could beat us out to Koolkuna berries and get on it.
The rest of the crew charged on in what could only be described as pristine conditions. The trails were grippy and the cold weather meant we weren’t getting too hot on the bikes. The run through the pines was relaxing until Snowy decided to get pay back from all the times I have ran into his back wheel and give him the hurry up. You could hear Snowy giggling behind me and then grunt when he buggered up an exit to a corner that gave me a bit of a lead and then I would stuff up and he was back on my tail. I had a ball doing this; I wish we had a stop watch on us as we were out of the single pretty bloody quick.
We headed across to the top of parachute and when we got there Snowflake took off to the start of the steep bit just to warn the newbies when the real decent was starting. All made it down safe. Aaron ( not rags)and I had a bit of a blast down there and I must say I don’t think I could have gone much quicker, gotta love the stopping ability of the Kato. The creek was very low so there was no need to slow down to cross them and they have graded the old trail so it is now 5th pinned to the next crossing then through the creek and flat again, the stuff dreams are made of. :side:
We took a different way out of the valley to what we normally use; the cool people that were on the very first nundle ride (2009) I think will know the way I mean. There was apparently some carnage on the hill coming out but once Luke realized he was not really superman all was all good. A quick blast across the top then into Koolkuna berries. I was noticing fresh tire marks on the corners and we had seen 6 other bikes earlier in the morning, you guys that lead rides know what I am on about when I say I was sticking my head around corners trying to see if anything was coming the other way, of course this didn’t slow me down.
Arriving at the berry patch only to find House kicked back in a chair next to a roaring fire on his umpteeth nip of port, was one of the funniest things I had seen for a while.
Lunch done bikes fueled port purchased and off we headed back into some of the best riding grounds known to man. I handed over the leaders vest at the top of fridge hill and dropped back into the pack for a relaxing ride back to the cars. The trip was at a nice pace and there was not many shananigans going on in the group. Well maybe there was this one peanut having a ball in the middle, back and front of the pack, sorry about the harassment Snowy.
We hit the best trail in the forest and on went the helmet cam, I will try to upload the vid for your viewing pleasure. Snow and I had one hell of a race, and then the barstool put me on a corner,(that’s not how you play cricket).     😆
All was going great, we were heading back to the cars and then all of a sudden I was arse up on a rock farm, trashed bark buster, dented header pipe and one hell of a stuffed up knee. A few coldies at the dungowen pub relieved some of the pain until I woke up this morning. :pinch::pinch:
Thank you to all the crew that made it a great day out on the bikes. The new guys performed the corner man system faultlessly and this lead to the ride flowing beautifully. Once they repair their bikes, bodies and think seriously about having us for ride buddies I am sure we will see them back out on the trails, they are more than welcome on our ride group.Till the next one
Some of the high lights of the day.
1. The look on Snowys face at Maccas when I asked him a certain question. 😆
2. The look on the ladies face that overheard me ask Snowy a certain question at maccas.
3. The frightened look on the new blokes faces during the riders brief. :woohoo:
4. Hearing about all the almost loses and the offs at the regroup breaks. :cheer:
5. Telling all the boys to stop racing the lead rider. This request was repeated several times.
6. Looking down the trail whilst waiting to place a cornerman and seeing 10 angry Oldbulls hurtling up the trail towards me.
7. House at the berry patch, that was priceless.
8. Having some red hot tussles with Matt,Snowy,Aaron and anyone else interested.
9. Watching Luke come out the other end of some snarly piece of trail unscaved. :pinch:
10. Belting along a trail and the bike just doing what it was told.
11. Watching King Bollocks pull the most phuley sikkest wheelies on the mighty 450 recluse fitted steed. :ohmy:Boony
You pair can bite me…. Not sharing the back of the Ute with no one. Bugger the both of yous :woohoo:
Boze wrote:Just making sure, DO WE ALL HAVE FUEL @ $2L at berry Farm waiting & I’m guessing $20 for lunch. Is this correct. The new guys mightn’t know how it works.
Boze
Snow and I have organized for 40litres fuel to be dropped at the berry patch,, yes $2.00 a litre and food is only what you want on the day, there is no BBQ organized for this ride, For those new blokes , you are in for a pearler, we might even throw in some seldomly used trails just to spice it up and keep us on the ball.
Boony
