Hey spidy you can`t be changing the rules,, I got roosted now give the man his slab,, Oh yeh and I`ll have one for when I filled him in too..
What a top day.Well spose I better do a bit of a ride report for the weekend,, the last reccy ride for nundle was held today, It all started to look a bit how ya going when first, I realized that I had left my phone/camera at home and Pete(crash) left his wallet and camel pack at home,, quick about face and we soon had peters camel pack sorted. Plan was to meet at 7.30 and then travel up together, all was going to plan until Steve looked like being a no show,, straight on the phone and abused him via message bank only to find out that he had rang my phone at 3.00 am to cancel his day..
8 of us headed up
Peter (crash the Tamworth version) KTM 250
Billy (splash) TTR 230
Demmis TTR 250
Bollocks XR 400
Boony DRZ 400And 3 other guys that Steve had organized for the ride,, buggered If I can remember their names,, only young fellows but quite decent and boy could they ride.
We headed of down paddies fire trail only to met by a hill they apparently call big mamma,, ask bollocks?I could not get up this thing and decided to do a u turn and look for an alternate route.
When we finally got back on track the ride just didn`t seem to want to flow. We would be stopped for all sorts of things,,IE, TTR230 with a broken spark plug cap, the xr want to flood when not upright,, and trust me we all had turns of being not upright. Any way we soldiered on and finally got to start to enjoy the single trails,, Your gunna love them (I hope), We came to a very steep very long downhill section leading to the creek crossings, this downhill would be 3 ks long and you nearly need a parachute to descend it,,, Bugga me dead if Bollocks had to do it with no front break.. Turned out to be intermittent and righted its self later on, but thumps up boll what an awesome effort. Got to the berry patch and we have organized a BBQ lunch when we arrive there on the Saturday.
Menu for lunch is as follows
Gourmet sausages (on a bun)
Chicken wing bits
Coleslaw
Salad
Berry Ice-cream with berry pie and apparently it`s Berry nice.(the guys had this today and they said it was tops)
A hot or cold drink from the selection.Cost will be $20.00 per head.
Let me know your thoughts on this please..Left the berry patch and head for the rest of the loop, bar a few trees across the track the ride started to really gain momentum, we rode some different trails on the way back to the cars and these all seem to be pretty good. Day nearly ruined by the narny scoring a flat 5 Ks from the truck.
Sorry about no photos but as I said I left the camera at home, Bollocks took some and I`m sure he will post them up soon.. Bring on Old Bulls in Nundle…..
Cheers

The leg should be able to be thrown over that tank easy as;)Does look good Jeffro, nice buy mate,,,,, Good Luck tomorrow
towards the end of the day i have trouble getting the leg over the rear guard tool bag especially when you park and the bike is on the hiy side,,,
Yeah it is a good point Booney, you see the tops broken of the cap for the breather with those tanks a lot because of just that reason. I dont like tool bags or anything on the rear guard now days because of a injury caused by a tool bag there years ago getting caught up while bailing from the bike at speed

TB
I`ll be looking for an aftermarket fuel cap IE the one off my quad which has the breather system built into it and nothing sticking up..I think you just have to consious that the tanks ther and alls well.
