Mate 14/47 on the DRZ is already pretty low, not many hill’s she won’t climb with that gearing. Ive gone the other way to 14/44 and still has a pretty low first.

Mate, clutch clutch clutch. Gets you all the power you need any time you need it, stops stalling and saves on sprockets!

yeh but that stuff takes skill:blink:

The sit and stay system we use is a good one I feel, it really requires that everyone is familiar with it to make it work though. I actually like getting a turn on a corner and watching everyone go by,especially in big groups.
The other nod and go system, I am not so keen on ,as I have experienced first hand, when it breaks down and been lost to the wilderness for over an hour at Coffs Harbour. The fella in front of me presumed I was still behind him and followed the pack down a left turn and ol Mick just went straight ahead,it wasn’t till I noticed no knobbie marks on the road, that I realised I was seperated from the pack.
Once I realised I was lost, I slowly back tracked, staying as far to the left as possible, to the last place I knew the group had seen me and sat and waited. Which is a policy I also think we should adopt should you realise you are lost to the pack..

vests for lead and sweep riders, second in line on the trail parks with bike pointed in direction the ride is to head at the corner the lead stops at ,(lead takes off for next corner) and second in line stay there until they get a thumbs up from the sweep rider wearing the vest meaning all riders have gone through from last corner stop.Major stops check for your wingman incase they went over the side unsighted. brilliant and safe system and you can rotate the vest between the riders over the day/days.

getting scary boys, there is some brilliant thinking going into this thread. 2 man corner system works brilliant when done properly, every one gets a ride in number 2 spot no matter of their skill. As these rides are social I think the idea of hooking up with a wingman at the start and looking for your wingman at majour stops is an unbeatable way for not loosing anyone and you can meet people doing this.
