A bloke that rides with us (Billy) purchased ecks wr 250 and took it straight to cycletune tamworth and got some stuff done to it, one of the things was to get it lowered, he rode with us sunday and went like a scalded cat, best move he ever made,
he used to be a back of the pack rider, now his mid pack in one ride, money well spent.
Boony
a knee a head and a chest I think they will pull through.
Ok , one of the hospitilized riders got released today but the other one is still incarcerated,

Who won
and what did they winI lasted 12.2 ks, so on a KTM 250 thats about 2 minutes  and the winner gets some oral given to them by snowy,
and the winner is ???????????????
Whanny, we had an awesome ride yesterday and i tried out my new bike, snowy was asking about you, he was wondering where you have been, there was a bloke on a bike just like yours there, unfortunatly I lost the valve stem cap off my front tyre of my bike and I need to wait for a special one to shipped over from europe before I can ride it again. I am not sure when the boys are heading back up , but I`m sure they will let you know.send snow a message and see whats happening mate.

, did you find you weren’t as tired at the end of the ride too ?
Nick
I could have done the whole ride again , where before I was looking for the cars? I am not sore anywhere today, that didnt used to be the case.
6.30 we all meet at our usual spot, we headed for the hills and I was a tad anxious to see if I had actually made the right call of getting rid of a very reliable bike and purchasing a high reving foriegn one.
12 of us unloaded in foggy misty conditions (pefect bike riding weather), I pulled out the choke and hit the buttonon the KTM, (she who must be obeyed has christened it the ranga) and it fired straight to life.
I asked snowdrop to lead this ride as I wanted to be in the pack doing the old look, see trick. all was going well until we hit a single we call wombat and then all of a sudden it started stalling and popping and just generally carrying on like it had a gut full of water or dirty fuel. On inspection it was discovered that some peanut had left the choke on. Pushed it back in and then i was seeing the true protential of such a small bike. The single where unreal, and when I came out the other end onto the main road, I done a power slide around damien and the ranga gipped up and slowly highsided me, I neally had it but no over it went at zero kph.( I will say here I was not the first to go over for the day)
We carried on towards parrachute when I found myself looking at the back wheel of kato 450 that was parked in a black mud puddle, crikey i`n gone i thought , the pilot cracked the throttle, the tyre got 99% grip and the bike performed the best backflip with a pike I have seen, it took bark off a tree some 5 foot up and smashed its front guard when it landed upside down. Trash I rider.
We got to the top of parachute and I gave the ranga its head, talk about awesome handling, braking and suspension, I was having a ball. Some of the crew need feel good pills so they rode back up parachute?????.
We swapped leades due to the leader playing speed hump so Buzz lead us to the berry patch.
As usual great lunch, we fueled up, I only used 3 ltr of fuel, a lot less than the predator use to burn.
We hit the trails heading back to the cars, Snowy and I had discussed completeing the entire ride as we havent been able to do it for quite a while,(wasnt to happen), I was on a corner with Damo and Mick ( Hussy610) and we had been there for a fair while when rick comes through and says he is going to gather the rest because the predator had bucked it new owner big time leaving him with a severe head injury.
When we got back to him he was walking around like moto in coffs.
We sent Demus to get a ute and 2 other riders with him and then we slowly rode old mate out to the main road and loaded him in and he spent the night in the care of our local medical professionals. The rest of us road straight back to the car.loaded up and went to the pub.
In short, I am stoked with the new bike, I feels stable through the corners, the suspension is second to none, it stops on a bloody dime, and once I got use to it not being a tractor and realise I needed to use the gearbox, the power was awesome for a small bore .
Ohh yeah I forgot, Snowy when you fall off and get caught up in fencing wire please be more considerate and dont land on you wallet, it make it so hard to go through it!!!!!!! i`m there for ya mate?????
Happy days
Boony

Ohh I notice the bike playing up, but I thought the worst :pinch: :pinch: :pinch:
aido wrote:boony i have left the choke on once before as well, come unstuck on a nasty hill and now make sure i turn it off.it took 10 ks for the ranga to start playing up because I left the choke on,, it will not happen again.
snowy09 wrote:Boonys full of shit, he wanted to burn it after the first 15 km, it stalled wouldnt fire and couldnt pass a fart. He caused all the bad accidents and generally held the ride up as we waited for him on every hill and hard bit. Reckon hell be back on a DRZ in no time.Jealousy is showing through now isn’t it  yep I did want to burn it when it was playing up, but I would have bought another 250 because I seen how buggered yous drz pilots looked at each stop 😆
so far there have been 2 of todays rider admitted into hospital, the predator does not like its new owner  and when you go roost me make sure your ktm 450 doesnt grab a hand full of traction and spit you off whilst it performs a neat back flip… bloody funny to watch but geez it busted the rider big time.

I recon we are all gunna be victims of the dreaded red clay and tree pollen,,,,, I can see it now,,,,come around a corner and there 8 bikes all stacks on snows black beast and bodies everywhere.
