This is 28 k’s on a wet road out there, not somewhere you want to be. This was less than 10mm overnight.

As said before we will still ride but maybe not out that way. But just think how good it will be when we finally get there guy’s B)
We have a big canvas to play with!! :) How lucky are we to live where we live. :woohoo:

Now Now Girls play nicely!! I was the little bird and I said next to nothing but obviously that was too much
It sounds like we may have to go to plan b,c or d before we have even left!! We have a bit of time before we leave and the long range forecast is not always that great. Whatever happens it will be good and all part of the adventure!
If all else fails we maybe picking up our tyres, oil, filters etc when we try for Cameron cnr ride three.

It was all a bit of a rush getting the bike ready for the off!! I forgot a few things like Head Torch bolts on Safari tank,Camera etc but all was good. Top marks to Teknik for super fast turn around of my shock.:)
We covered a lot of ground on this ride and everyone pulled together and we all got home unscathed B) Except for some battle scars on a few bikes. There were some great views and some really great tracks with a few snotty bits thrown in for good measure. Good testing ground for bikes gear and riders. As for TB’s report of my off!! NO WAY MY HANDLEBARS NEVER TOUCHED THE GROUND ONCE ALL WEEKEND.
Lefty man handled the big XR really well, even with legs that were short at one end and always found the high ground tree stump or rusty trailer to park next to for the old kicker.;)
It was really good to see Deejay on his new steed with all the Bling put to the test out in the field where it counts. Dont feel bad about your little off mate, it takes a while to get used to the power of a DR.
Gaz put the workmanship on the DRZ to the test and apart from a little drink in the creek it passed with flying colours. B)
Krusty showed us how to light a fire in the great outdoors and kept a close eye on his mate, even taking a detour or two! :P
TB managed to get across the water before anyone with a camera arrived to take a pic and he was dry except for the Boots!! B) Thanks to all involved a great ride and some great scenery and so close to home. Great ride as always Trailboss. :cheer: 800k’s plus for me and enjoyed every one.

Fenn at the store has a small workshop wtih a compressor that we can use for tyre changes etc and the camping out there is good with showers etc if we stay the night. I dont know why but those black cans taste better out there!!

or are we going full teknik

It’ll have more Bling than the Ten

    Looking good

    Mick

Well Mick the nameless one has his shock at Tekniks now because a spring only holds it up. See I think if my dentist doesn’t start fixing engines I won’t do my own teeth ;)

This one is going full Tekniks why wouldn’t you at just over a grand, both ends revalved and sprung?

That’s coming later in the story Mick

My rear shock was always going to Teknik just a time thing!! As for the forks revalved and sprung and could’nt be happier with them. If my Dentist fixed engines I would’nt use him he’s too expensive!!

What happened to the 24 litre for the DRZ? and what’s wrong with the DR650????

Looks like this is turning into a sizeable ride…

Hey Krusty, my DR650 shock is having a rebuild at Teknik, my 24 ltr tank I lent to a mate! So I am going to borrow your old 17ltr from Fish. Change the gearing and give the Banana a run. ;)

Been there done that mate! Every second Sunday on a corner with a yellow flag. Then when the buggers grow up and come out riding with you, they use you for traction on the hills!! No gratitude or respect shown, that’s when you know you taught them well.
