No flats TB. The dr’s were awesome and did the trip with little trouble.
I blew a battery and had to push start the big girl on the last day.
Both Fish and I broke the chain guides on the swing arms
I also broke the main frame and had to get it welded along the way :S but that was my bad too hard into the big boulders in the creek beds
We rode the bikes in terrain that they were not made for and considering this point they did it all very well.B)
I am really looking forward to getting her ready for the next adventure!!
Craig Hartley nearly talked us into a couple of KTM 990 while we were at the Corner, but alas we cant afford them at this point in time :( Those Queensland boys punted those bikes fully loaded in the deep sand creek beds etc bloody awesome to see :woohoo:
It was a trip to remember and I cant wait to get out to the Corner country again soon.

Hey Nick. It was a great ride and nice to see such a good turn out.
TK really did touch a lot of peoples lives through Sidetrack magazine and was a driving force in adventure riding as we know it today.

Just arrived home, what a trip met up with some old mates from the Sidetrack days and met some really good blokes on a very memorable ride.
We arrived at Rusty’s place in Mildura and it was great to see so many old faces, after unloading the bikes we had a few beers and a great BBQ feed while we all caught up!!

After a good nights sleep our journey began and we headed for Blinman via Yunta and some great private farm tracks and really good roads with spectacular scenery.

Four hours in and we had a rider down and three and a half hours later he was taken out by the paramedics and we could continue. He punctured both lungs and tore his Aorta valve, he is in a stable condition in Adelaide Hospital.

We were late getting in to Yunta and had to ride in the dark dodging Roo’s and Emus.
After a good feed and a sleep we headed for Blinman.

It was a big night in Blinman with so many riders making the trip and a good night was had by all.

Phil introduced us to MAD beer and its a top drop!!

Next morning and the Doc led us on a ride that had everything, we rode up some never ending creek beds and some great station tracks Awesome!!

Hey kat, Fish and I went over to see Steve on Thursday and picked up some tyres and other bits and pieces. I picked up a spot tracker too for a solo trip I have in the works. Steve is a top bloke and looks after OB’s :) We were like dogs with two tails in Steves Den!!

in reply to: DRZ Forks bent #206616

I had the same prob after a big off and it was just the forks moved in the tripple clamps. loosen the tripple clamp bolts and hold front brake on then push the forks down a couple of times, check that the forks have not moved up in the clamp and then tighten tripple clam up. Then put the bike up on a stand and loosen the axle spin the front wheel and apply front brake a couple times tighten up the axle and all should be good.

Hey Eagle, If you go to the Aldi website they are selling the waterproof covers that have a handle bar mount for $ 9.95.
This should make them much the same as the old ones but with the latest maps.

+1 for 15-42 the drz motor pulls it no worries and it helps with the revs and vibration on the long transports!! But you will still need ear plugs
