Sounds the business Krusty, I’m keen to see it on some Coffs singles mate! Theirs not many bikes you could ride through the outback on a big ride one week then spend a few hours swapping parts and get straight into the tight stuff!

Go to love the versatile DRZ!!

+ 1, They are very versatile and although not the most hardcore bike they do everything well!! B)

I woke up Friday to rain on the roof and geared up to meet TB, Made the wife a coffee before I left and she said as I was leaving are you blokes well?? riding in this weather. I felt it my duty to educate her and explained that we were OB trailriders and a bit of rain would’nt stop us!! no fear.
I would have to re evaluate this statement later.

I met TB as planned and we made our way to Jeffro’s via St albans and the watagans along the way TB gave me a ride on the Tenere and I put one on the shopping list. After handshakes We left with Jeffro at the front and rode some nice tracks on our way to Buladelah to meet some hardcore OB’s!! “yeah well one” Micknmeld was the only one riding. We picked up some grog to take to the boats while the sheila’s ordered their latte’s at the cafe’.

After a great night of beer and bullshit we awoke to more rain and decided that we would have to come back and finish this ride at a later date.
Thanks to all the guys for a great weekend.
Special thanks to Micknmeld for booking the love boats they were great and had all the mod cons. B)

Did you find they took much to get used too? I’v got a pair and just feel like a duck out of water wearing them, at night I find lights reflect all over the place inside your goggles which is a bit unsettling.

Hi badbowie, I have not used them at night yet, but can see how they might reflect light.
The Cameron ride was my first time wearing them and I found they worked really well, after wearing them for six days straight I would not like to ride without them now.

No matter how much work you put into planning a ride like this, it’s mother nature that has the final word and in this case the rain gods were against us. :(
Nevertheless we still got to ride some really great roads and tracks and see some fantastic country. The outback is in full bloom at the moment and we were lucky to see it in all it’s glory.
Thanks to all the blokes on this ride for their good company and humour, even when things didn’t go to plan. Hope we can have a beer at the Corner next year guys.
We were very lucky to have Bollocks and Gaz along to look after us and the food was bloody great!! Always a cold beer waiting for us at camp, it doesn’t get any better than that. B)
    Thanks Guys.
Thanks to Pep for the use of his truck even when he couldn’t come along!!
Thanks to TB for all the work he put into planning this trip and for always finding us a route on this ride. Bloody legend mate.
I didn’t take many pics but here’s some anyway.
