Quote:Thanks Guys, there is this one at kangaroo tent city, Boulder is that the same as yourshttp://www.kangarootentcity.com.au/welcome/page47.php (second or third one down)
Does it have the sleeping bag built in or do you have to have your own.Cheers
Chris.Yes thats mine 2nd one down, you have to put sleeping bag in yourself I haven’t ever seen one with sleeping bag permanently fixed in! Would make washing hard work i think. Thats a good price at $199 less than I payed all those years ago.
Hey Chris, I have a Mitchell swag I bought it 8 years ago and it has served me well.
You can find them on page 60 of Ballards catalogue mine is a early model but they still make them. I can say that they do not leak and have slept through some really heavy rain in mine.
Worth a look, I paid $220 for mine.Hey ollie, Had to laugh while reading this as same thing happened to me and my brother some years back. You have to hope that his learnt something and will prepare better in future!!
Yakka wants to come on this one, can you please put him down he is working away at the moment.
I am in please!!
+ one for the Kelly, My last one lasted 12 years and only the Zips failed in the end, almost as cheap to replace the bag over new zips, so have bought a new one.
Driving down the F3 with wipers going flat out and a speed of 60k wasn’t a good start, people passing my old ute and giving me the  look!! I must confess I did think we must be mad at least once on my journey to Zig Zag.
As TB said the riding was really good and some nice new tracks found. It rained just about all day even after TB said it would’nt and you can put your house on that!! It became hard to see even in safety glasses but the trails were great fun in the wet and we kept a good pace only stopping for the odd Drovers breakfast.(A piss and a look around) We had the bush to ourselves apart from the land rovers and a few bikes just before we got back to Zig Zag car park.
All up a great days riding and as always with OB in good company.
Hey Rocket this is from TT KTM thread, I got it for a mate who had probs with his seal on ktm 450. Dont know if it will help?
Fork seals leak: To fix this get aftermarket seals, I use Synergy brand if I have to change a set. The other thing many guys swear by is cleaning them with the film method. I have done this on my bike, which has stock seals, and it has always stopped the occaisional leak. Have not had to replace these since I got the bike alomost 2yrs ago.
Counter shaft seals leak: Again some guys never have a problem and others cant get it to quit. This system is as follows, from the inside out, a thrust washer,an 0-ring,a sleeve, the outer seal, the sprocket and the clip that holds the sprocket on the shaft. This system relies on pressure from all the parts pushing together to seal the system. Some guys have trouble if they use an aftermarket front sprocket as some are too thin. Most of the time the leak can be fixed by removing the sprocket and sleeve and cleaning the outer seal with a q-tip and the other parts by removing and wiping off. There are new part numbers with thicker o-ring and outer seal starting in 05 that will fit the older bikes as well and fixes most chronic leakers. Often the leak will start after a mud ride or when the bike is left on the side stand for an extended time. Some dont worry about it and call it an auto chain oiler. I have fixed two of the three 200’s I have owned and never had to replace the parts again, but have had to clean one, one time. The other cause, and a thing that can break the case, is adjusting the chain too tight
Claire and I are ok for the 3rd
Does this mean I have to find my Passport and dig out the thermals!!
