dozza, Teknik sell rear springs for $189.00 just tell them your weight and they match a spring for your bike. I dont know if you can get them cheaper elsewhere but i bought one of theres and am happy with it.

Well guys I have to say the DRZ is not the same bike!! Teknik have worked wonders with my forks its amazing the difference it makes I could’nt be happier and the rear spring has made a huge imporvement too. Even after the expensive seals at $66.00 and sliders at $33.00 I am very happy with the result and have no regrets. There are lots of good suspension tuners out there and you may get the same results for less money but either way I highly recommend this upgrade:):)

I arrived at the D’s just in time for breakfast. Dan was making TB peanut butter and jelly toast and then cut it into nice little bite sized triangles and served it up on a pink fairy plate!! TB complained that the peanut butter was not chunky and Dan promised to get some in for next time. It was about this time that I realised that I was in the company of tuff dirt bike riders and this was going to be a big weekend.
Chicken arrived not long after and we headed off to meet old Al and rode with them until lunchtime on some top trails. After lunch TB, Dan, Chicken and myself went to ride some trails that TB and Dan will be using for the Jurds ride. If your coming on this ride your in for a treat! :woohoo: We got back to D’s about 4.30 and had a couple of beers before Dan cooked us a great dinner that Kylie had prepared earlier and it was very tasty. Best potato bake I have had
in years. After dinner TB put on the Dust to Glory CD and we overdosed on high speed action before hitting the sack.
Next morning, brekky and then off to pre ride some more trails. TB and Dan have put a lot of work into this route with lots of different options depending on how the day works out.
Thanks to TB and Dan for having me along I really enjoyed the trails and cant wait for next weekend. Big thanks to the D’s for there hospitality. See you on the Jurds ride.:woohoo:

in reply to: Stiffing up the forks on the DRZ #145554

Hey Ollie, im over it now mate, the forks are on and am looking forward to seeing how they perform!! I was a bit pissed with them and thought seals would be included in a rebuild but thats life as they say!! let you know how they go over this weekend.:)

in reply to: Stiffing up the forks on the DRZ #145553

Got a call from Teknik today to say that they were putting my forks back together and would i like new seals fitted, dam right i want new seals fitted didnt you allow for that in your quote to rebuild my forks?? No if you want new seals its xtra $100.00 WHAT!!Seals are $42.00 and you have my forks stripped down?? Long story short after much debate if you get a quote add $100 to it for seals!! Forks are on and will give them a work out this weekend, hope they are as good as they tell me after spending $589.00. Will let you know how i go with them this weekend.

in reply to: Pivot Pegz tested by an Old Bull #113383

I have had my pivot pegs fitted for the last two rides and one of those was a big two day.
At first by this i mean the first 10 minutes they felt strange but the more i ride with them the more i like them. I have found that they make me stand up more than i did before and changing gear standing up is now done with more ease. I think even after such a short time riding with them i would miss them if i went back to the old standard pegs. I would recommend that if you havent tried them to give them a go they are a good thing.
