As Ollie said it needs some expert treatment when it gets to this stage, you can drill re tap and helicoil but needs to be done by a pro with the right equipment. Have helicoiled sump plugs in the past but the thread was the only problem, quick fix with a bog will come back and bite!
It shouldnt cost to much to have it fixed and have peace of mind. You could always go for a Chicken speacial!! But i think it has to be a Honda for that one:dry:

Local bearing shop should have bearings and seals, take your originals in for them to match should be a 3rd of the price of yammy ones. Hornsby Bearings do them in Waitara.

I spoke with another dealer in Melb today. Same deal to have the rear resprung and overhauled and forks done but could not believe the price $1600 and three day turn around. How could the price be so different. I think I’ll wait for Chad to return

WoW!! Thats a huge price difference you would want something special for that money.:S

Spoke with Chad from Chad’s off road down in melbourne today. He said that to have the DRZ done over front and back with a rear shock rebuild would be $550. with a one day turn around. Only down side is he is in Perth for the safari and wont be back until the 14th or 15th

Thats a really good price smurf, the springs alone are $410.00 But a bit far for me to send

Chad quoted me 650 to do front and rear on my WR.You should ring him boulder he is quite a character.

My forks are at Teknik as we speak Adrian, i picked up a rear spring from them and fitted it myself today $189.00. I have heard really good things about Chads work but after going to Tekniks workshop and speaking with them i am confident that they will do good things with the drz forks. Its really good that we have so many good suspension tuners to choose from.:)

I have had riders come in on a side track before, after i had gone past and they rode through our group!! If i had seen them i would have stopped and re grouped. When you ride trails you have to expect traffic coming at you, we all push the envelope sometimes and no matter how careful we are accidents happen. All we can do is look out for each other but also for ourselves. RIP
