Hey TB, can you put me down for four please.
Trailboss wrote:boulder wrote:They are close now lefty, big effort with the 1190, will be interested to hear how the 700 handled it too, just goes to show KTM bikes can do it!!They have had their share of trails and tests actually Boulder with the KTMs and the route. Both bikes have had fuel supply problems with filters and pumps I believe. Dingo lost a foot peg in the first half of the Simpson. (Imagine riding half the Simpson without a foot peg  ) The 1190 had a top end engine overhaul before it left (it’s still new remember) Homers dashboard nearly fell off from Roo damage. Craigs panniers fell apart in desert because of fuel bladders.
Both have had their impacts with Roos, they even managed to hit the same Roo. Craig’s had no lights for three days apparently during the ride. Craig’s bike had 3 klms on it when he left to ride it to the start. Massive effort by the guysTB
Thanks for the info TB, i heard that the 1190 had a top end rebuild and it was touch and go if it would even go, Unifilter australia have made a fix for the air box but they have other prob’s to sort and I think Teknik have a fix for one of them too. Rustys 1190 ended up with the computer strapped to the rear rack to get him back to camp when the rear wheel went up and smashed the under guard and destroyed the electrics with the computer hanging in the wind. At least he didn’t keep going and destroy it like someone i know   Dingo was hoping to give the 700 a run on the TK ride but parts didn’t arrive in time, big call to take a bike straight from the box on a trip like that. Great that they made it and am sure they will have a story to tell!

Heal quick mate, see you out on the trails soon.
The boys are having a beer at Mt dare, they had a good run across the Desert today.
I would love to know how the big 1190 went out there!! :unsure:Looks like the boys are off and running. Hope it all goes well!!
They are about to go up the bore track by the looks, they have had a big day!! :ohmy:Craig is all good mate and was on fire the weekend he rode with us.
He is really excited about the 700RR build and we saw it in the flesh in his shed and it looks bling!!
They were supposed to head up Thursday to start there ride but I think they are a day behind, Craig was waiting on some last parts to finish the 700 and John had some work to do on the 1190, Saturday is now there start Day.
It should be good to watch there progress and I wish them well!!Hey Guys, I have to give a big thanks to Bollocks for coming out and saving the day on Wednesday and running me around Tamworth and organising to park the the 990 at Boonys man cave. Thanks Boony for making room in the shed!!
Fish goes in for his op at 230 today Friday and should be able to come home Sunday or Monday.
I dont think his broken the big Kato in yet it still has a mindset of a wild stallion and maybe he will have to get it in a yard and ride it around and around until it realises his the BOSS!! Maybe then it will let him stay in the saddle.
Crash wish you had been there mate, you could have maybe just popped it back in for him!! :pinch:
Will let you know how things go with the op later today.
Thanks again to the OB network for all the help. Boulder.Lefty wrote:boulder wrote:Hope you blokes have a great ride. We are all packed and ready for our trip to Dalby on Monday.

Cheers Boulder.Welcome to the site Greg, you have come to the right place for Nav rides mate.
I live just up the road at Berowra, hope to catch up on a ride soon.Hey Guys, for anybody interested in the 2013 TK ride here is whats happening.
Unfortunately this event clashes with the 2 day Nav ride held on the same weekend.
Fish and I will be heading up to Dalby on Monday or Tuesday if anyone is interested.
Cheers Boulder.TK RIDE.16,17,18 August 2013 at Kenilworth, Meet at Kenilworth on Friday 16 August for meet, greet and drinks, and then a corner-man ride departing from the Kenilworth Hotel at 9 AM on Saturday 17 Aug, with riders departing for home on Sunday. For those that want to see more of Qld, and take in a variety of top riding, there will be an option of a lead 3 day corner-man ride by myself from Kenilworth to Kroombit Tops to see the World War II plane wreck, with a return ride taking in a variety of range and mildly outback tracks to finish at Dalby, from where riders returning south can take a variety of different routes from Dalby. This will depend on interested parties letting Craig know by email to chartley@dalbymoto.com.au about interest in the extra 3 day ride after Kenilworth. Thinking about it more, it is a top ride. The Boulder Brothers have done a little bit of it, so ask them if you want assurance. Accommodation and camping is available in Kenilworth, the Kenilworth Hotel has approx 11 rooms and 30 beds and can be contacted on 0754460206, this is where we will have evening meals and after ride drinks. The Showgrounds are approx 500 metres south of the pub and is a great campground with toilets, hot showers and they allow fires and all on good grass. Breakfasts are available at a variety of cafes in Kenilworth main street between the pub and the showgrounds. If you really want more accommodation, there are a couple of places 1 km out of town. Fuel is available opposite the pub.
Hopefully we’ll see you for the Tony Kirby ride.james wrote:boulder wrote:Due to some very sore ribs I am having to pull out of this ride.I have a room booked at Lithgow with 2 single beds if anyone needs accommodation Send me a pm.[/quote
