Once your bitten by the Adventure bug theres no going back!!Crash wrote:Howdy OBTers,
Been having a brilliant trip. This morning we had Big Red all to ourselves. The beginning of the Simpson looks an amazing, beautiful and unforgiving place. The colours are amazing. It was exhilarating punching the bike up & down that big sandhill. To see all of this and the channel country with my own eyes over the past 4 days has been a dream come true. And what’s better – I’ll be seeing many more places I’ve always wanted to see (since I was a kid watching the Leyland Brothers) before next weekend.Latest scoop – we’ll be leaving very early in the morning for Camerons’ Corner. We’ve decided to go down the Birdsville Track & take the recently re-opened Walkers Crossing route. This track has been closed for 4 or more years, so we thought – what the……. , lets do it!
We have some great footage & photos to bring home.
Catch you all later
Great stuff Crash, you wont regret doing walkers crossing mate, its very often closed and will be an experience to remember.
one for the scrapbook.
Nice pics mate, brings back a few memories.
Noticed you did’nt park at the crest this time!!  Have a great night will be watching the spot with interest over the next few days.
Good to see both groups are doing the right thing and hydrating on a regular basis!
The boys have a nice easy run into “Crustys” pie shop for lunch tomorrow, while Ace and Strucky can pick up some Opals for the Girls. I would rather the Camel pie myself. 😆Looks like the boys are calling into Eulo for a mud bath!!
Boulder and Yakka on the list please.

Lotsa and Gav found some great tracks and hopefully can link them up into a ride for near future.
I really enjoyed the weekend and can’t wait to ride up in that country again, how lucky are you guys up that way to have this on your doorstep!!
Thanks to Lotsa and the guys for there help and great company on the weekend.mickp wrote:Good one Boulder, I’ll have to get one when they have it sorted. :cheer:The prefilter seems to work pretty well anyway and you probably wouldn’t have to clean the main filter very often.

Have posted up the final product Mick and they will be on sale next week.
boulder wrote:I now have the finished product from Unifilter fitted to my bike, they have made some changes to the filters from the prototype. Here you can see the inner filter with the spring and throttle body trumpet fitted.
once you have both trumpets fitted in the filter just tighten the reusable cable ties so the filter fits snug but not to tight.
Now fit the front trumpet onto the throttle body and lock in place and then the rear.
Then fit the orange outer and lock in place with the velcro tabs
Everything else is the same as first post. They are in production now and will be on sale next week.

No worries TB. This is still the prototype and the guys at Unifilter are nutting out a few things this week before they go into production, they are thinking of trying springs inside the cage like on there pre filter.
When they have there final product I will update sometime this week. That said this one seems to seal really well and has not altered performance, will be interested to see how it effects fuel consumption too. -
