Great video Adam! Very enjoyable day, lots of fun, with a good crew. There might not have been any dust at the front, but believe me, there was plenty at the back!
Thanks to Ollie and Murph for sweeping too.
Lets do it again.
Cheers budgeYep, I’m the same Teza. Just cop it on the chin. The risk (no CTP or a run in with the law) its just not worth it. Rec rego please………..
Just looked at the calculators again – they are all different!
Rang around and NRMA had the best price at $314.57, including at fault driver cover, which apparantly QBE dont have, which is why they are cheaper again by $20 (or so I was told!). On line, NRMA was between $330 and $390 so I guess it pays to ring around. All doneI’m just doing rego for my sons KTM. The CTP prices I got last night from i think it was RTA comparison site was less than 10 bucks between the lot of them. GIO was at $386, which was in the middle. The site included all the companies you mentioned Ollie. Might have to have a closer look. Rego 117.00, CTP, 386.65, pink slip 28. My son isn’t even living in the southern hemisphere – he’s been OS for 6 mths :S
A quick search on the www shows it being available in the USA, but like Boze, I have never heard of it. Perhaps a clutch specialist may be able to source some??
Cheers budgeRoom for one more? If so, I’m in.
Cheers budgeI’ve got a 2011 Sherco 300i. Done about 1000kms. No problems. Never let me down so far! Seat height is lower than my lowered WR450, which is great for us vertically challenged riders and it is 25kgs lighter than the WR. Big difference in the tighter stuff and when I have to pick it up off the ground at the end of the day! Local dealer is an hour away from me and has been extremely helpful (Triple R McGraths Hill). Comes well equipped from standard – brembo brakes, hyd clutch, good rims, suspenders, shocky, on the fly mapping, magic button………. Genuine parts are priced very reasonably actually. There are also cross references to other manufacturers for bearings etc. Next bike will be another Sherco!
Cheers budgeI guess you keep going back to where you get good service, and MCAS in Liverpool has been great over the years. My most repeated purchases are tyres and the saving of 15 – 20% is worth it. My gear lasts a few years so having last years gear at MCAS is never an issue.
A skirt and heels for TB – I’d go to any bike shop anywhere, just to see that! Cheers budgeWhat a great weekend! Many thanks to TB, Chris, Protty and all who helped make it the weekend it was. Ferknerkles fire breathing contraption was awesome on the cold nights. Damn cold in the mornings too – thanks for the push and the jump start boys. The Falcooon loves being back in the warmth of my garage!

Not too long ago I ordered some genuine parts for WR450 from overseas (45% less than in Oz). I left out the woodruff key from the order and had to buy it from Yamaha here. US price $1.70. Yamaha Australia price $15. If you have the time to wait, buying o/s is a no brainer!
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, they’re still around. Apparantly quite popular in the States, so I’ve heard. Was going to test it out on Sunday, but it bucketed down in Sydney. Will post a report if it lasts more than one ride! Cheers budge
Thanks Nick. Look like the one. Be interesting to see how it performs. Cheers
I recently bought a leatt adventure neck brace and leatt armour to suit. I’ve found it to be very non-intrusive and haven’t noticed any restrictions during normal riding. I have only felt my helmet touching it a couple of times following going over some drop offs. When I told the war office that I wanted to spend some money on more bike gear, she was not overly impressed but after explaining what it was and watching a couple of vids on youtube about it, no problemo. Wouldn’t ride without it now. Best bit of kit after helmet and boots.
