Pulled down Hannah’s TTR 250 to grease the linkages to find 3 seized bearings the rest dry, ordered a complete suspension bearing (swing arm shock and linkage) kit from all balls SIX WEEKS ago, still nothing in the mail yet :pinch:

Pulled the XR suspension bearing apart yesterday to a de-grease clean and regrease with only one dry bush after 12 months B) .

Sent a mate (Brogan) off today on my XR so he can get a rack made up at Whipps for his XR400 to carry his saddle bags and Wolfman Roll Top Bag (which he thanks ADV moto for) on his around Aus trip, and we’ll start putting his XR back together on saturday after it all comes back from Probore :woohoo:

    Good times.

This is how its supposed to mount but when its on the added thickness of the mounting plate (5mm roughly) causes the disc to scrub on the right hand pad

    Guard2.jpg
Was thinking I might be able to cut or get the spacer collar, just the 5mm roughly, using a band saw & a vice to make sure its square

    Guard4.jpg
    Roughly 5mm :P

Guard I.D. Which stops the guard from moving further past the threaded section of the axle. I’m thinking this is a design/ manufacturing floor.

    Hope this helps

Thanks boys photos to follow soon, Im thinking its a case of taking off the 3-5 mm off the disc side spacer or the same thickness as the disc guard. I have tried getting some info but not being so popular there is little info on them, I might try asking some Sepo’s on TT too.

Thanks for the offer Dickie, might take you up on that once I’ve got a few answers or even just a spacer to play with.

Got a Pirelli Scorpion XC Heavy Duty 80/100-21 (front) MID-HARD compound. Free to who ever wants it, may have to use the Old Bull express somehow though might be a bit X-y postage.

Not going to bullshit, I swapped this tyre out for an 80% shagged D606 and its 100% better than this tyre. But if you can use it for rego or what ever its here.

Any tips on drilling out a broken easy out ??

    Nick

Patience is your best friend if the easy out is broken. Patience and a very strong Tungsten Carbide left hand drill bit, usually they come with an easy out kit made by sutton/P&N (I think  ) if you have the option of a fair bit of metal around where the bolt is and the location is raised a bit like it was when I snapped a bolt then an easy out on the inlet for the oil return pipe on my XR400 you can use a thin cut off disk like on a dremmel and turn the broken bolt into a flat-head grub screw. But you can only use this method if the surrounding metal isn’t too important (ie you couldn’t really do it on your engine case.

    Good luck

I like the cool pix too they take some good ppictures, but dont get a camo one. Makes it that much harder to find the little bastard when you drop it. So far in my wasted youth I’ve lost a couple of mag-lights a camera and lighter none of em were cheap :pinch:

Also Olympus tough series are great upto 12MP now I think Ive had my brightly coloured one ;) now for 5 years and its still goin strong.
