Lucky buggers. Looks like the start of a great trip. Impressive bit of planning there
:woohoo: Awesome, congrats. That dust is a bitch
Good thread, awesome to see positive comments on local suppliers.
The ones that stand out for me
Steve at Adventure moto…giant loop gear is awesome
Nick Dole at Teknik, fixed my suspension and got the XRR running like a train…also didn’t make me feel like a f#*&wit after I asked 3 million questions.
Rookie at Oak Flats Motorcycle repairs, great service/ price and communicationFeel the love
Good to hear your OK, a couple of my mates both in their early 40’s had the same work done. This isn’t an old man issue.
One mate had a crap in the bush after a deer hunt and noticed a big chunk of blood….he’s not been real lucky, had 4 operations so far and still no good
Probably a great reminder for us all to get checked out.
Ive got the IXUS200, they’re a bloody brilliant little camera
I went through the exact same shit in Wollongong last year, wanted a pair of tech 8’s or sidi crossfires but no service/assistance or interest.
Bought a pair of tech 8’s from the USA for $328.00
Very pissed off as I always spend my coin locally.
Hmmm Kathmandu ….. Same mob that supports the greenies, you know the ones that lock us out from forests etc.
I won’t spend my coin there
In last months Transmoto mag there was an ad for Pod mx k300 braces on sale for $300, anyone use these, see the ad etc
After seeing my mate go through bloody hell, these look like a great option
Just to clarify, they’re in love with their bikes 👿 nooooo man love
Bwahahahahahahahahaha
My older brother and cousin both bought this years 350, they’re in love.
I just don’t have the coin to update
Shame, sometimes all the deadlines for twenty jobs seem to all come up at the same time.
This is a ride I’d really like to do, maybe next yearHope all is good
Never heard anything about this. Where abouts did it happen? Poor ill buggers
RIP
Looking forward to doing this run next year on my ’79 XL500S, need to replace the nobbies and clutch and sh’es ready to role
Doing night shift on the big money but I’d rather go for a ride….
Thanks for the reply’s.
Mick, your comment on the KX is a direction I’d go in if I could find a half decent bike…most of the Kawasaki’s Ive looked at have been rooted and a new one isnt an option yet.
Brad, TYB’s bike is an ’03 model…its still a great bike and goes very well but not in the year range your after. Shame really because its been a fantastic bike.
Wish I had of been able to start him on a bike earlier but now Im trying to get him on the best bike I can buy/afford.
Might have to sell something :S
