remember Bolls has a 250 up for grabs!!!!!! ;)

    Your right there mate.
I think a trip out to Matt’s is on the cards. But he’s been told if he knuckles down at school he might get one for his birthday.
As for the tame Honda thing, Adam told new that he wheelied it a few times and I noticed he had the back end stepping out on occasions

I don’t think that I can thank everyone enough for a great 2 days of fun.
Just watching the kids ride the loop Boony had set up was just a taste for what I felt when I would look over my shoulder on the bigger trails and see a line of kids taking their first steps towards trail riding and thoroughly enjoying it. Especially the water crossings where the would plough through and spray themselves and any one around them.
I think the highlight for me was to watch my 12 yr old son take his first steps towards adult riding when he climbed on a 250 for the first time. To say he enjoyed it was an understatement. I can’t thank Boony ( Kato ) and Matt ( Honda ) enough. He enjoyed both bikes, but I think he enjoyed the Honda more, sorry Boony. I believe I am now looking at buying a 250, thanks guys.
Bring on Upper Horton and North Star.

If your truly bored you can come and help me drink some stubbies while I change the bearings in the rear link.

Riding is off limits for him Snowy. He is still sore from his dinky kicking him

I wonder if a set would have prevented the injury in the first place seeing it was a hit to the bottom of your foot not a side ways over extension ??? I would like to see you back in that time boony but after what you said your knee did I doubt it :( best of luck with the recovery mate

Aaron like you I don’t believe a brace would have prevented the initial injury, but it may have prevented further damage when he twisted his leg getting back on his bike.
Best of luck with your search and recovery Boony.

Spoke to a bloke today aido who went over to coffs last week end to test ride the new WR 450.he said it was unbelievable B) ….all good things come to those who wait.

    Bol :woohoo:

    Ha bol.

Do you know if they gave him a price..

    ..spud..

    Spud

My local dealer rode at Coffs launch ( probably the same bloke that Bols spoke to and normally rides a 2 fiddy ) tells me it handles like a 2 fiddy. He said he had it on a middle of the range setting so that it wouldn’t pull his arms off and didn’t even notice the weight of the bike in the tight stuff.
I believe the shop is going to demo a bike and I will be taking it for a ride before I make my final decision on whether to stay with a 450 or drop down to a 250.
As for price, he is quoting $13750 on road which is on par with other brands.
If the bike is true to it’s design specs it will be well worth the wait.

How heavy are they ?????

Last months ADB has them at 129 kg wet. That is why I’m thinking of something else even though I would love one. As for price my local dealer has them at $12990

Well for my first trip to the cells it was a memorable one not just a costly one.
After arriving at camp on Friday arvo with Bols and House I set up camp and listened to the guys talk about their day on the trails over a few soft drinks.
Saturday dawned and everyone was casually having breakfast and prepping bikes when Aaron arrived in his usual cloud of dust.
With everyone ready we headed out on some easy fire trails to warm up on and then onto some really nice technical singles which tested me which I enjoyed even though I had a couple of foopars on the hills.
After lunch at the stamper Snowy lead us on some good open trails that were a bit greasy in places.
About about half way through the afternoon I had my worst off yet. After coming out of a nice tacky section I crossed a log and lost the front end on the slippery surface and went down with the bike slid straight into the end of another log and totaled the left hand radiator. With the help of Damus and a couple of others we were able to change a couple of hoses about and limp the bike back to base camp.
Sorry guys for ending the days ride a bit early.
At camp I was resigning myself to sitting out Sunday session when Cycletune offered to have a go at fixing the radiator which I didn’t could be done, but after straightening it and flling the hole with some steel putty and then using a mix of 2 egg whites and some pepper he was able to fix it, thanks Steve.
Sunday’s ride for me was even better with really fast open trails and a few angles thrown in. It was disappointing that I had to leave before the end due to having to go to work.
Thanks to Snowy for leading a great weekend, Damus and Cycletune for all Their help and everyone else who made the weekend so enjoyable.
