white rocket wrote:ride a ktm350 than see how your drz feels ps seen plenty of drzs shit to.would rather my 300 to a 350 but the 350 uses half the fuel and beets me in drag racesMost of the Tamworth guys have ridden the KTM 350 and I think we all enjoyed the power and weight of the bike Rocket. It is the reliability that steers people away, especially when it was the same 1 or 2 problems.
One of our crew went to the Sydney bike show to enquire about the new 500 and after I told him about the problems over the weekend he has decided to keep his carbied EXC 450 for the time being.
I know manufacturers do testing prior to release but the best place to test is in the off road series, but when the top riders are on MX bikes this is near impossible. Maybe something needs to be done here.
Just my 2 cents worth.Buzz
Thanks Scotty for a great weekend. My family thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We will definitely be back next year.
Thanks to NickJ and ChrisT for sweeping, to Factory Phil for Getting my bike to do what I couldn’t get it to do on that hill and to everyone else for a top weekend.
Congratulation Dude on your award.Buzz
Happy birthday mate. Enjoy the party tonight and hopefully we’ll have a few beers together tomorrow at the Lodge

Thanks to everyone for coming and making it a huge success. It was good to be able to put some names to faces.
Thanks to Boony, Snowy and Rick for all the behind the scenes work that you all put in.
Thanks to everyone that helped put up and pulled down the Marquees and also to Aaron and Charlie5 for allowing us the use of them.
I enjoyed the weekend emensely and there are too many good points to talk about and I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did.
I can’t wait for Coffs.Buzz
My company only buys shell fuel who don’t use bio fuel which is made from vege oil. However I own 2 desiel cars and buy Woolworth’s fuel which has 2% bio fuel and haven’t had any problems. There are trucks running around using only bio fuel. I am unsure of the results. TB could answer that one. All I can say is buy your fuel from a reputable retailer to ensure you get clean fuel.
I change my oil and oil filter every 5000 kms and my fuel filter every 10,000 kms. Buy fleet guard filters. They are a quality brand and cheaper than genuine. A water trap is a good idea. I change my oil this often as Jap desiels soot up very quickly.
As for heating oil it is a blend of 35% kero and 65% desiel. Every fuel company supplies alpine desiel or winter mix in colder months. Winter mix is a blend of 35% heating oil and 65% desiel. This is to stop desiel in colder areas from waxing up. Which means the wax in desiel freezes and forms beads and blocks fuel pumps and injectors which is there to help lubricate these components.
I hope this helps.
By the way I am very happy with my choice of engine and I hope you will be too ActionBuzz
Thanks Mick. I’ll organise it and get it up on the Friday

Hi guys
One of our local bike shops has kindly lent us a Marque that is approx 6m x 4 m
I have booked 2 powered sites to erect it. The cost is $24 per night per site for a total of $48 per night. This cost covers 2 people for each site, there is a small charge for additional people.
I am looking for another 2 to 4 people to help share the cost with myself and one other. If anyone is interested please let me know by Friday 14th Oct so I know if I need to decline the use of the Marque and cancel one of the sitesCheers
BuzzAaron wrote:What is the go with a new model coming out early in the new year????? Wait for the WR Aido. You obviously have blue running through your veins. Its blue, injected, has a power tuner available and looks very cool. Imagine soon you will be in this position…….. You are on a ride with your slightly used steel frame KTM and some prick rolls his/her brand new WR off the trailer . You are going to be so jealous. You know it. So don’t go there. :silly: [/quoteIs this how you are going to feel next year Aaron?
By the way, thanks for buying the 2 fiddy. Your saying has come through again and I only have to wait 5 months for the fuel injected wr :woohoo: :woohoo:Buzz
