KTM have long been on the winning page as far as advertising goes but Yamaha has put this ripper out and no matter what colour your steed it makes ya want to get out there and ride which is the whole idea (even if you only think you look like this lot, like I do  )
    Top job Yamaha B) ….. C’mon Honda!!!

Don’t worry about Boony Snow, he’s jealous you’ve found a bike that has more get up and go than his Kato  :silly:
On a more serious note they are pretty much bullet proof. If my bother’s kids can’t destroy them I don’t think anyone can.

Well yet another great day in the hills of GOLD with mates riding some of the best stuff around. Well Jason & I went to the usual park spot and waited. Time was getting on so I rang Boony to find out what was happing. Told him we were up here waiting, his reply was NO we are starting from in town. Dam, but you said if we don’t have to ride the tar we won’t. Ok so that was the text I didn’t get so load 1 bike and drove down the hill in bike boots (never again).

Well, Hope you boys have something sorted
Need to know which day is the hardest?????????????????
That will be the day Tim and his old man will do???????????????????? Or will try????????????????
    Cheers

Murph, if Boony allows it and there’s time, there’s a really good hill climb about half an hour from the lunch stop that I think Aaron has only been able to get up once

The bike lost a round with a wombat. Its only a bent front disk. But was not ridable

Tough bastards those wombats, seen the damage they do to a truck. Hey Boony was the disc the only damage? If so couldn’t you have taken the wheel off and removed the disc and ride out? Or unbolt the calliper and cable tie it to the fork and ride out? Both options give you a rear brake and it beats trailering your bike out. I was just wondering is all.
At least you werent hurt mate

I think it was a good excuse to get stuck into to the beers early TB  :P :P

Heat it with a heat gun not a flame style heat. A heat gun is all they use at Tekniks all the time disassembling suspension and engine parts

Thanks TB, good tip. I’ll invest in one.

Just wondering Nick if this tool would work on bearings that are pushed out from the inside as one part of the link on my 2006 WR has a seat on the inside that the bearings match up to

    Buzz

The Crf is the same mate , one end of the link has a lip that the bearing sits on. I have been told to take out the needle bearings then put some heat on it ( apparently aluminum expands 3 times more than steel ) then tap it out from the opposite side. Then use the tool to press in the new bearing . I’ll let you know how this goes Buzz !!

    Nick

Awesome you learn something new everyday. Thanks Nick.

Well I’m sure Sophie & Dom had a great day just the same as we all did. It was soph’s first good off dirt road ride with her ’10 310 Husky. It had been a while since she had ridden her old Honda 230 so in the deep end she go’s.

Here is some footage of Sophie sneakin up at the back of the pack. :P

Well done Sophie you did a great job we were pushing fairly hard in the morning you did we’ll to do what you did mate … See ya at the top of mount bollocks I spose

    Andy :cheer:

I agree Andy, Sophie and Dom should be proud of what they were able to achieve. Water crossing, logs and for Dom a massive down hill, which I’m sure Bol will put in his Sunday ride.
