Thanks Bruce, sure is. I really have missed them.

The KTM scared me today with its go. Had a quick ride and it was great. Easy to ride, goes like stink and lofts the front wheel easily. Just have an issue with it bogging down and stalling. I can’t seem to get the HotStart button on the carb in the right spot.

Changed the plug in the bombed up XR630 I picked up and it now starts first kick everytime and goes like a rabid dog. Damn thing scared the crap out of me. I was screaming along in 3rd and cracked the throttle and the damn front wheel came up!!!!

Not sure I want to sell it now :woohoo:

Mind you I could also seriously hurt myself on it as well ;)

    Thanks for that, will do.

I am actually looking for riders as well. Willing to wear the gear, rehearse the show, travel to shows etc. We pay riders for shows of course.

Getting it ready now and kicking off for the 2011 show season.

    Cheers

    Rod

    This is true. ;)

It is a new show we are working on for next season. Quads vs quads vs dirtbikes, all armoured up etc etc. The KTM will be getting a make over and take part in the show. I will be sitting out due to a bung arm so am co-ordinating it.

She is at the moment. But now that I have the KTM to ride I am thinking of hanging onto the XR and taking my time to rebuild it. She needs a bit more work than I first thought. I had a ride Saturday and she started first kick everytime, ran rough but was all go. On Sunday would not start, sprained my ankle, took all the skin off my shin when she kicked back etc etc :P I pushed it back into the shed and gave up. Probably start first kick again tomorrow ;)

Thanks Chaps, I did look at EBAY. Lots of stuff for later model bikes, nothing that was suitable for a ’94 model.

I’ll give Suttos a call on Tuesday and see if they can source them for me. I’d like to keep the original plastics and store them away rather than dodgy them up and paint them.

Couldn’t wait til tomorrow. Plastic welded it myself. All done, no leaks and back into the bike. B)

Thanks guys. There are a couple of plastic welders in Bathurst so I will wait til tomorrow and take it in and get it done properly, rather than me stick some sort of patch over it.

I am having no luck with fuel lately. This tanks leaks, my roadbike has picked up some crap and I have a stuck float, my 250 has the same (must have got a dirty can of fuel from the servo), the XR REALLY needs a good clean as I think I have blocked jets in it……. ARGHHHHH :S

It does leak fuel. It is at the very lowest point as well so it alweays leaks fuel.

Got a very bad photo. Not sure you can even see it.

Might have to get it plastic welded?

    Kickstarter arrived. Fits perfectly.

Mick gave me a great deal and was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Now off to chase up some wheels.

    Cheers

Oops, turns out it is a 1996 model.

Shouldn’t make a difference in the size of the knuckle to go over the spline though.

    Cheers
