We will have to see how fast it is around your track,,,, and for that we will have to hand it over to our tame race rider. Some say he loves the smell of 2 stroke in the morning and that instead of a heart he has a powervalve,,,,, all we know is he is called the ????

We will have to organise that day out at Louee so we can throw it around the motocross track.

And wheelied the damn thing out of a flat turn!!!!!!!
No worries. We’ll get it sorted.
I had a quick ride on the YZ today.
I don’t know what to say. I have never ridden anything like it. My CR250 was a horror compared to this bike,,,,, mind you my CR was a ’91 model
I’m still grinning like an idiot!!!! So light, so powerful, so damn easy to just lift the front wheel flat out in 4th!!! It just comes up and stays there.
When I got into trouble it felt like I could just think about getting it straightened up and it did it.
Damn thing feels so light I swear I could bunny hop it like a BMX
I cannot wait to get this around a motocross track.
In control would be better
Only I’m allowed to break bits on it
Took it for a run up the driveway this morning (my neighbour must love me lately). The sound of a 2T, the way it goes goes goes and most of all the smell of a 2T made me feel like I was 18 again. Talk about a flashback.
I imagine the high speed stacks will remind me pretty quickly that I am NOT 18 anymore though 😆
Can’t wait to get it onto a motocross track.
Sure, Thursday is good. I’ll be home all day.
Located just down the road from Mal.
I’ll PM you both the address.
I’m offering a chosen few a ride on it and the quad
Video camera running of course
It should be hilarious.
I have a vision of me flapping off the back of it.
I had a film crew out here today getting some test footage of the Raptor in action. They wanted me to wheelie it up nice and high for them…….. I think I soiled myself at one stage :silly:
But wait, there’s more.
Picked this up today. 2007 YZ250.
Came with the original plastics, the original pipe and silencer, a new Pro-Circuit pipe and silencer fitted to the bike and a new FMF pipe. New tyres, new bearings, new fork seals, chain, sprockets etc etc etc.
All I have done is sit on it (whoa, forgot how firm motocross suspension is) and started it up (love the sound and smell of a 2 stroke). Can’t wait to take it for a run. :woohoo:
Time for a bigger shed I think Whanny. Off to look at a YZ250 tomorrow as well
It is a whole lot of fun Mal, took it up the back paddock today and its a beast. Lots of time spent on the back wheels and stepping the rear end out. Come on over Wednesday and take it for a run.
The newest member of the family.
2004 Yamaha 660 Raptor.
It’s in Mickey Mouse condition. Been really well looked after.
Thanks Mal, and thanks to Stu for coming back to look for me. I had a deadset shocker.
I sooked out pretty early,,,,,,,,,,,, and then promplty spent the next hour riding towards Bathurst
Talk about getting arsed about with my directions. I rode past the turn I was meant to take at least 4 times.
You will be happy to know I took the shitty weather with me. Man it was cold the hour I spent riding in circles.
Keen to do it again though
